“Woman Sees Jesus Judging A Soul Who Just Died”

I always take these near death experience stories and such with a grain of salt. I don’t say the person claiming it to be true is lying, yet I don’t fully believe it either. Unless, of course, it would be of a Saint.
The lady in this video talks about her own experience having died, then “waking up” and returning to life again. She said she saw another woman who had just died being judged at the throne of Christ.
Now for one thing, I really want to know the Catholic take on this.
I have never, in all of my Catholic faith, heard that one soul witnesses another soul being judged (except at the Final Judgment) Each soul, at the moment of death, is alone with Christ, and that’s it.
The lady’s story ended with her seeing Christ condemning the soul of the woman who had died. At the condemned woman’s judgment, she was telling Christ over and over that she was sorry, but “it just wasn’t cutting it,” as the lady in the video said.
Another thing I found inconsistent. I thought once someone died, and was in a state of condemnation, they weren’t capable of feeling remorseful.
As Catholics, we aren’t obligated to believe stories such as this, yet for someone who thinks just as deeply on the Particular Judgment as I do, what do you think? Is this lady’s story inconsistent with Catholic teaching, as far as her being able to see another soul receiving judgment, and the condemned woman repenting after death?
 
I’m not even going to watch it, I gather from your synopsis that it isn’t of the faith.

Before I was Catholic, or even Christian I was exploring all kinds of spirituality and spent hours and days researching near death experiences. There’s a website dedicated to them and the authors conclusions (who believes all the NDE’s) is that God saves all souls and sins don’t matter. It also promotes past lives and anti-Catholicism.
So my conclusion, most Near Death experiences are NOT from God.
 
The Catholic Church has not declared anyone to be in Hell. We know that Hell exists and I don’t want to go there. You are not required to believe what that video says.

It could be a reflection of her own fears of not being good enough to be saved
 
I think it was a dream also–not a NDE. She said that she went to sleep and then had an out of body experience in which the Lord showed her heaven. According to 2 Corinthians 12:21, this can happen: “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of it I do not know, but God knows.”

She had been seeking the Lord and asking him to show her what areas of her life needed improvement, so either God answered her, or it was her own mind. We can’t know–especially the very personal witness of another’s judgement.

But the final lesson learned is a good one, and I think it should be weighed with that evidence in mind: That we should always live our lives in preparation of meeting the Lord.

So, IMHO, whether or not this actually happened, I think it’s good advice for us all.
 
I can’t imagine that God would allow one person to witness the moment of judgement of another. I think the woman had a dream. It is from her imagination.

For your own good, please don’t seek out material like this. There is an incredible amount of junk on the internet. Choose your sources with care.

Yes, but not all dreams. It takes discernment.
 
Or, it could be tale of a very lonely person seeking recognition and attention.
Some people think we are all obliged to “warn” others, but it’s really all about them.
She sounds disturbed.
Live in the now, be the hands and feet of Christ to all you meet, remain in a state of grace, avail yourself of the Sacraments and see if things don’t turn out just beautifully.
 
Maybe the woman she saw in the dream was herself: she was the “other” woman. Maybe it was a “what if” dream – if she did not turn her life around, she was going to be condemned and it would be too late to “be sorry”.

No, actually, the “other” woman couldn’t have been herself, because she described her as being “blond and a Caucasian”, and the lady telling the video sounded to me black or Hispanic.
I thought, also, that it might have been a dream.
As another poster said, nonetheless, it is a very good moral lesson, and is certainly within the realm of being true. I also know I’m not obligated to believe it. Most times, I’m very leery of supposed “near death experiences.” Most of the time, I think they are an attempt at sensationalism.
 
Yup. People indulge in much unhealthy “wondering” and then post it youtube and then invite all kinds of hateful comments.
Seems like a waste of time. 🤷
 
Just because somebody publishes an account of a Near Death Experience, it doesn’t mean it’s true. There could be a core of truth there somewhere, but the rest could be embellishment.
