Do you mean that we, to whom the Word of God came, are gods? I believe that. It is Scriptural.Does anyone believeme when I say there are 1000s of gods by participation and one God in essence?

Maybe you should expand on this. It’s hard to tell from this one sentence what you really mean.Does anyone believeme when I say there are 1000s of gods by participation and one God in essence?

I believe this is what is meant by this. IMO. THere are 1000s of people and one God. There are 1000s of gods that are other races of semi divine beings mainly from “Mythology” if you buy modern man’s ignorace of what mythos is. But I guess one would have to delve deeper into the words of the person I quoted to get his meaning! I think we know who that was.Maybe you should expand on this. It’s hard to tell from this one sentence what you really mean.
Yes I think that would be a correct interpretation.Do you mean that we, to whom the Word of God came, are gods? I believe that. It is Scriptural.
One might have to look in “Ascent of Mt. Carmel” or “Dark night of the soul” and maybe that would explain exactly what he meant. If not and anyone knows exactly what John meant of this I’m all ears.Yes I think that would be a correct interpretation.
That depends on your definition of “gods”. The word has many connotations. There is the obvious St. Athanasius reference, but theosis happens by way of participation in the divine life. Such that what St. Paul says in Galatians 2:19-20 becomes perfectly clear:Does anyone believeme when I say there are 1000s of gods by participation and one God in essence?
