Verse 8 says “If we say we have no sin.” Present tense, right now. It does not say “If we say we have never had any sin.” You are twisting Scripture. You need to believe what was written, not what you wish was written.

If you just read (1 John 1:8) Wow! you would be right. I think it would be wise of you to read the rest of that verse, before you accuse me of twisting the Word of God.
