Let’s see. i go to the Church Jesus found. i obey the Church. i love our Mother the Virgen Mary. i believe the Body, Blood and divinity of Christ in the Eucharist. i call father the priests, Bishops, and the holy father. i hold them in great honor. i confess my sins to them. i bowl and kneel before the altar, Body and Blood of Christ. i hold the Saints in high honor. i help those in need when needed. i obey the Commandments of God although sometimes i fail. i believe in the Church Jesus found. i hear the Apostles and their successores in obedience to Christ. i ask the help of the Saints when i cannot pray. i receive the Sacraments instituted by Christ. i could go on and on…but i dont want to overwhelm you. how about you?
nice list but a lot of i,i,i,i, …everything we have starts with God His Love His mercy His gift of faith His way of providing salvation etc so we give Him thanks because of our own we have nothing to give Him and should not boast of our accomplisments …to Him be the Praise,if we do anything is because of His Grace .Amen

You err in your remarks about that post.

What he gave was a profession of his faith, just as you would or so many others do here on a regular basis. It is petty and probably unrighteous to do as you have done.

No faithful Catholic even remotely infers that we are the source of our own righteousness or salvation. I don’t see anything in that post that would give the impression of boasting.

If this is exemplary of the attitude you bring to posting here with us, then I’d suggest that your reflect on my comments and reconsider why you are here.

I offer this is in the context of the New Testament teaching of rebuking a brother who errs much the same way that St. Paul rebuked St. Peter.

Hi Judite. Welcome to CAF. I assume you are quite new to this.

One word of advice…as we do for the Bible, keep every post you read and respond to well within context. I think you took wisdomseeker’s way out of it there. The response you gave is certainly a good admonishment for all Christians, but probably best reserved for those who really need it.

God Bless…and again, welcome.
