Question 1: Why won’t God heal Amputees? Amputees get no miracles from God.

Answer: Amputation is only damage to the physical being rather than the spirit. Resentment because of the new limitation can damage the spirit but understanding your new circumstance can also be a blessing.

Question 2: Why are there so many starving people in the world?

Answer: Starvation is the effect caused by evil in the world. Many who starve today do so because of corruption of man. To deny there is evil in the world is the same as denying there is good.

Question 3: Why does God demand the death of so many innocent people in the Bible?

Answer: Newbie2 puts it well.

Question 4: Why does the Bible contain so much scientific nonsense?

Answer: Not everything can be explained by science, science cannot explain why we are here today so it is merely your opinion that it is nonsense.

Question 5: Why is God such a huge proponent of slavery in the Bible?

Answer: Slavery again is an evil in the world because man is granted free will by God. To deny another man’s free will is to deny God.

Question 6: Why do bad things happen to good people?

Answer: Many faithful people died preaching the Gospel and continue to do so to this day. I can keep being redundant about evil in the world but I’ll just give you a Bible reference.
Matthew 5:45- “…he makes his sun rise on the bad and the good, and causes rain to fall on the just and the unjust.”

Question 7: Why didn’t Jesus’ miracles leave behind any evidence?

Answer: They did because He is alive today, I know this because He is both loved and hated around the world.

Question 8: How do you explain the fact that Jesus has never appeared to you?

Answer: Jesus comes to us through the Holy Spirit and my wife and I can both attest to His existence. It is too often that we look for physical signs, “I have to see to believe”, but a hardness of heart is what blinds many of us today.

Question 9: Why would Jesus want you to eat his body and drink his blood?

Answer: That is something that takes far more explanation than can fit onto a web-post.

Question 10: Why do Christians get divorced at the same rate as non-Christians?

Answer: For starters are these Christians or “Christians”, I know many of the latter. Many do not understand their faith and rush into marriage and many never let go of their single life. To be a truly Married Christian is to understand that marriage is a covenant not a contract and more importantly that is a covenant between you, your spouse and God. It is immensely important that couples understand this before they enter marriage yet, sorry to say they don’t.

Mark 10:6-10- But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate."
Mark 10:11- He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her; and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”

I think that question #1 (Why won’t God heal amputees?) is aimed at the Christians who claim divine intervention in cases of unlikely remission, healing, etc. The idea is that they claim that God will remove tumors from cancer victims, help nerves regrow where they are damaged, and so on, but never physically heals an amputee.

Well consider also that when most amputation occurs you are able to continue your life(minus head amputation), terminal illnesses are inside of us. I consider that there is no way for our body to naturally regrow a limb, but I’m more certain that there are natural processes within us that can cure cancer or heal scar tissue that impedes our motion. It seems more like God is exploiting attributes that already exist in our body to contribute to natural healing.

What is more important is the spiritual healing rather than the physical. It would be better to lose a limb than to amputate the Spirit, thus the soul. Pax†

Good point, I didn’t consider that.

Thanks for your answers. BRIEF answers from Islamic perspective would be:

Answer: Once your head or hand gets amputated, they do not grow back because everything in this world governed by the law determined by the God.
Isn`t referring to beheading as “amputation” a bit…euphemistic?
