Not that political liberals in this country believe in a single one of them. 🙂

Thank you, Marco! I really was prepared to be upset by the blog. I thought that it was beneath the NCRegister. What a delightful surprise!

It is just proof of a sleeping or deceptive media, prepared to create for the public whatever caricature of whatever person, whether they be a politician, athlete, or whatever, or place or thing, that they want you to think.

Be alert, friends!! :o

You should read the comments after the article. Many just didn’t get it, clearly showing that they did not read the article in full.

I realized what was happening when it got to the quote about women. I sat there puzzled, going, “Wait a second…” Nice article!

According to this article, it is bad to care about the poor, the environment, and to be humble. 🤷

It seems to be implying that, in my opinion, it is “liberal” to do what Pope Francis is doing. I did read the article in full. Please tell me what the author meant.
Read the punchline at the end. It’s not about Pope Francis; it’s about the mainstream media pitting Francis against Benedict. All the quotes in the article are from Benedict, clearly showing that what Pope Francis has been saying does not contradict Benedict at all.

So, the author was joking on the whole matter?

Please explain to me what the author meant. I do not understand it.
The catch, at the end, is that all of these quotes were from Pope Benedict XVI.

Edit: Yes, this was a satiric piece, intended to give readers a double take with the ending.

The author was blasting the mainstream media for their one-sided coverage of Pope Francis, along with their claims that Pope Francis was overturning Benedict. The quotes from Benedict prove that Pope Francis and Pope Benedict are actually of similar minds.

I’m feeling a little conflicted…someone help me…I’m not sure where I am w/ the Pope on this quest to address all of the ‘social issues’ plagueing man at this point…what about spiritual charity…not sure about his kicking off his shoes…so to speak…and not abiding by some of the traditional routine for the Holy Father…what next…start selling some of the treasures located at the Vatican to feed the poor…are we losing perspective…
