Lent serves as a special penitential time. Often Catholics give up a food or recreation, but there are very many things worthwhile things that can be done instead that we may not think of, as this list shows.

I can do this! (except for #7–I never call my sister an alien. Would the person I do call an alien count?)

The list contains a lot of excellent suggestions. I am not sure about number 36.
