Here is a question that got me thinking there are 2 verses in scriptures (don’t know if they go together or not or teach the same thing) that Jesus with the saints ands marters will rule for 1000 years:

Matthew 27:50-53

50And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
51And behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and the rocks were split.
52The tombs were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
53and coming out of the tombs after His resurrection they entered the holy city and appeared to many.

and also in:

revelation 20

Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand.
2And he laid hold of the dragon, the serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years;
3and he threw him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were completed; after these things he must be released for a short time.
4Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
5The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection.
6Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.

so my question is does anyone know what these 1000 years are? my thinking is it occured around 60-1060 because that was a very crucial age in the development of the catholic church and Jesus over looked it to make sure it will go in the right path?

It really is interesting that the schism between east and west took place after that first 1000 years.

BTW, Jesus is still looking over it.

Most Catholics believe the 1000 years is not a literal 1000 earth-years but is a descriptor for a very long, but finite, time - and most believe that this refers to the age of the Church - the time between the Resurrection and the Second Coming. In this interpretation, the first resurrection is the spiritual resurrection, the second is the bodily resurrection.

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. 9The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance

2 Peter 3:8

Idle speculation, but, how about the fall of the Roman Empire-about the time Christianity had gained a firm hold even while the world it existed in was falling apart-until the Reformation-when the firm hold was lost?

I think that Jesus returns twice, once at the end of the tribulation, and again much later after a long period of peace and holiness on earth, lasting well over 1,000 years.
