On Easter Monday, mourners filed in a long line to pray in front of a closed coffin containing the body of Sneha Savindi Fernando. The little 11-year old girl was standing in line for her first Holy Communion at Easter Mass on Sunday when the bomb struck. The New York Times reporting that her grandmother wailed loudly in front of the casket, “Why did you leave me? There are so many bad people in the world. Why kill the innocents?”

(This is from an article in the “National Catholic Register” at http://www.ncregister.com/blog/alys...-over-300-heres-10-of-the-innocent-lives-lost )

A shepherd named David fought and killed a huge, heavily armed Philistine soldier named Goliath. Face to face.

ISIS sneaks up from behind and kills defenceless little girls - while they are praying.

Who, apart from satan (shaytan), can take any satisfaction from these brave and mighty islamic ‘warriors’ who won’t show themselves in public.

A lot of true martyrs were made in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday. The suffering of grief is also a kind of martyrdom. I’m praying for them all and lighting candles near St. Anthony and Sacred Heart here at home to remind me to pray more. May God give the families over there peace of heart as soon as possible. Its like a sign for us all to examine our faith and think what is the next right thing God wants us to do. For me so far all I’m getting is to PRAY.

For them to be canonized, we need proof that they knew of the danger, but Christ knows His own, even if the Church doesn’t know their virtue.

I actually really cried reading this article. I don’t understand
