I’m completely confused as to where and what this church actually is, given that the area of Palencia, Spain has about 30 historic Catholic churches, several are named St. Martin, and based on maps and street views, none of them would seem to match the view shown in the video with the nearby commercial building and street.

It’s obviously a video of a church on fire somewhere, but which church and where is a big question mark.

Thanks, that is helpful. I see why I couldn’t find it - this church with the fire is actually St. Martin of PLASENCIA and located in Caceres.

The Eponymous Flower blog and the Catholic Arena said this was the church of St. Martin in PALENCIA which is like 4 hours away from Caceres, in a different diocese, and has at least 2 major historic churches named St. Martin, at least one of which is from the 11th century and is a significant tourist attraction. And none of those churches in Palencia looked like this one.

Catholic Arena needs to be more careful with its Spanish geography.

Edited to add, by the way Google Translate will generally show us Yanks those types of news stories automatically translated into English, so it’s not a problem to read.
