Do you believe the Mahdi is the Ant-Christ? I’m not quite sure if he is or isn’t.

no disrespect to anyone on the forum but I find it amusing to read about Islam and the connection to the moon god

In any case, according to Muslim belief the Mahdi (as) will appear at the same time as Jesus (as) and together they will guide humanity back to the path of God. It’s prophesied that Islam began as a strange religion and will return a strange religion. During the time the Mahdi (as) appears there will be nothing left of Islam but the name. The Muslims at that time would be practising something very different than the true Islam as it was brought by the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh&hf) and preserved by the Imam Mahdi (as). It’s also prophesied that at the time of the Mahdi (as) appearance his fieriest enemies and antagonists would be the Muslims themselves. The Mahdi (as) would challenge centuries of indoctrination and subdue the sufyani and his proponents.

there’s a difference of opinion about the Mahdi (as) between Sunnis and Shias. The Sunnis believe he is yet to be born while the Shia believe he is alive and well and that he is a descendant of Hussein (as). It’s also prophesied that one of the things the Mahdi will do after subduing the sufyani is to exhume the bodies of the 1st and 2nd Khalifs (Abu Bakr and Omar) and punish them for their role in killing the prophet Muhammad (pbuh&hf) and corrupting Islam.

God loves us. He loves us with a far greater wisdom.
Jesus will not return as Islam says he will. That way leaves the door wide open to many deceivers who will say “Here is the Christ.”
Jesus’s ascension to Heaven in the way he did, rising in to the sky, doesn’t make sense on the surface for where is Heaven? Two angels appeared and made complete sense of it. As he went up so he will return. His return will be as the judge, who judges both the living and the dead with love mercy compassion and wisdom.
He will not be announced. He will come when not expected. A thief has no one to go before them to announce the thief’s visit. Likewise no one will come before Jesus to announce his coming.
Neither will Jesus be going away to die. The Bride he takes will be the Bride that is his church and his children will be those of the Bride. There will be no death to follow.

God has closed the door of deception. He will not move from that truth. He has closed the door because he loves us and does not want us to be deceived.
