What I see is very, very sad. What I see is a Catholic who calls a dead child names and says she did things she didn’t do.
This CHILD was bullied. She made a mistake. Haven’t you ever made a mistake? Haven’t you ever done something dumb? Like, let’s say, when you were thirteen years old?
She despaired and she took her life. Instead of calling her names and attributing actions to her that we don’t even know she performed, we should be praying for her, her family, her friends, and the bullies. And maybe we should learn a little bit of humility. Maybe we should try to understand how nasty bullies can be and how hurtful their actions are. Maybe we should be putting out our hands to help somebody in a similar situation instead of verbally smacking her across the face.
She can’t defend herself. She isn’t here anymore. But I will carry her story in my heart because I was bullied, too. And like her I tried to take my own life. I obviously didn’t succeed. Sometimes when I remember what it was like I wish I had succeeded.
But I guess that would have been OK because I was probably a harlot, a ditz, and God knows what else.

and I didn’t say she was loudmouth. I said loudmouths usually don’t call themselves HUMBLE maidens, like Joan did…the female saints were all modest and humble…
this young women is a result of an immoral society and immoral actions. If anything this should be a lessen to parents to keep their daughters straitly and under strict watch and remove influencing factors from their house, like Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, and other whorish idols they worship.

When that girl is talked about the way you talked about her you are talking about a person who is so loved by Jesus that He gave His life for her. And when you call a person a “harlot who showed off her breasts to men or pranced around as a ditz with a cellphone sending filthy pictures of herself” you are judging her and making unfounded assumptions. From what I remember of the news article she sent one picture to one male. You’ve increased it to having her being a harlot prancing around as a ditz with a cellphone sending filthy pictures (note the plural of picture) of herself to men (note the plural of man). You don’t know why she sent that one picture. You really don’t. You’ve just assumed and assumed and assumed.
Maybe this girl was and is the least of the Lord’s brethren. Or maybe it’s you. Or maybe it’s me. I often think it is me.
The point is that being nasty and calling people names like “harlot” and “ditz” is not charitable and is not the way that any person, but especially a Catholic, should be doing. You are judging this child. And you are speaking of her in terms that are extremely unkind. And whatever you do to one of the least of Jesus’ brethren you do to Him.
Now I could grab my bible and pick out some passages and increase the font size to 400% and change the color to red but that stuff is just showing off. The Word of God stands on its own. YES, they WERE modest and humble. Look at the way most of them dressed. Veiled, covered. Never do we see a female saint that is dressed today like the modern woman. Sorry it doesn’t work there, no matter how hard to try to secularize the saints…
Lastly, I don’t remember myself having any stones in my pockets or that I’m stoning anyone. Casting stones is totally different that rebuking immoral behavior… Remember what St. Paul said about those who defile the body?? Remember what St. Paul did to the man who was sleeping with his step-mother?
Considering the jaded, ditzy, immodest, relativistic, immoral behavior of most teenage girls one would suspect that, especially from someone sending filthy pictures of herself over her phone or the net. This is called a form of prostitution and pornography. But as I’ve said before, this is what happens when parents do not enforce modesty, chastity, and sober living among their daughters. A daughter should NEVER be left to her own doings as its the parents duty to keep them straitly. Look at what public school is doing to these kids… Instead of wives teaching their daughters to be meek, humble, quiet, CHASTE, modest they instead act whorish themselves. Instead of mothers teaching theirs daughters any piety, respect for marriage, and sobriety, they instead goto MTV and watch “Life of the American Teenager” or “Teen Mom” and other shows that teach kids to be immoral at young ages. hence the finger points directly back at society…
Was this girl sick and hungry? no, she was a suburban kid from a family and a home. She wasn’t homeless, sick, and hungry. Sorry, the sick and hungry don’t walk around with cellphones. This girl is a result of a immoral society, immodesty, and incorrect parenting.
The early church fathers has quite interesting things to say about women who acted like harlots and prostitutes.

I noticed that you used the phrase “look at the way most of them dressed.” Why did you say “most of them”? And when was the last time you saw a saint? What people usually see are paintings and sculpture. They don’t see the saint herself. Do you?
No - you’ve gone waaaaay too far. Remember the two Great Commandments of Jesus? The second one is to treat your neighbor as yourself. Would you like to be called the horrible, cruel names you are calling this girl? This girl was not sleeping with her step-mother. She sent a picture, and as is shown in the next quote, you continue to insist that she sent filthy p-i-c-t-u-r-e-s of herself and that is not true, at least according to the article. Why can’t you see that it was one picture?
Your choice of words shows remarkable cruelty and sadism. It’s hard to believe your language is coming from a person who claims to be Catholic. We are supposed to love everyone - not to call them names. Your extension of the behavior of some girls to those of all girls is remarkable. You put all girls under one umbrella and that isn’t fair. Every person is an individual, created by a loving God.
You’ve taken Scripture passages out of context and are now saying that not only daughters, but mothers are “whorish.” Where do you get this stuff?
How do you know she wasn’t sick and hungry? She hanged herself!! Healthy people do not hang themselves!! She was extremely sick and needed help. And I hate to be the one to tell you this, but many hungry teens walk around with cellphones. Some are anorexic or bulimic and some just happen to have a cellphone. Just because a person has a cellphone does not necessarily mean she is being treated with kindness and love at home.
You have some quite interesting things to say about women, too. Why do you use the word “harlot” so much? She wasn’t a harlot. She was most likely a young girl under pressure who snapped. Have you ever been bullied? It’s horrible.
Please, for the last time, try to understand that this was a bullied, young, inexperienced girl who despaired so much that she took her own life. Can’t you feel the least bit of charity towards her? She was only 13!!
Can’t you walk a mile in her shoes before you condemn her?
