there is no punishment for rape victim; rapist is supposed to get death penalty.
Then why the girl is punished?everywhere in this world only muslims are doing odd things but you always try to defend your faith!Do you not know that in some of the villages of bangladesh the lash culture has started for rape victims by Moulovies?Just first they have to prove the rape victim as a prostitute and then it is very easy to punish her.And who will protect her if all leaders(including islamic)will declared this victim girl as a slut?In muslim countries even in bangladesh girls are abused horribly but when a girl is raped then the muslim society always blame this girl and your people blame her even sometimes her parents also blame her. Will you deny?Confess it,face the truth. You are bangladeshi like me,can you deny my claims? At least I hope you know the situation and you will agree what I said if you are really honest. We should not forget the period of former BNP and Jama’at e islami Govts’ failure rule because since jama’at came in govt, this bad culture has started.I do not blame BNP(bagladesh nationalized party),but I blame the islamic party Jama’at because for them this bad tradition has started in my country and this traitor jama’at already swallowed BNP

The story said that she was 23, went before the courts, admitted she was guilty, and BEGGED for the stoning. Wow. I have never heard of anyone asking to be put to death, other than martyrs.
He (the narrator) said: There came to him (the Holy Prophet) a woman from Ghamid and said: Allah’s Messenger, I have committed adultery, so purify me. He (the Holy Prophet) turned her away. On the following day she said: Allah’s Messenger, Why do you turn me away? Perhaps, you turn me away as you turned away Ma’iz. By Allah, I have become pregnant. He said: Well, if you insist upon it, then go away until you give birth to (the child). When she was delivered she came with the child (wrapped) in a rag and said: Here is the child whom I have given birth to. He said: Go away and suckle him until you wean him. When she had weaned him, she came to him (the Holy Prophet) with the child who was holding a piece of bread in his hand. She said: Allah’s Apostle, here is he as I have weaned him and he eats food. He (the Holy Prophet) entrusted the child to one of the Muslims and then pronounced punishment. And she was put in a ditch up to her chest and he commanded people and they stoned her. Khalid b Walid came forward with a stone which he flung at her head and there spurted blood on the face of Khalid and so he abused her. Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him) heard his (Khalid’s) curse that he had huried upon her. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Khalid, be gentle. By Him in Whose Hand is my life, she has made such a repentance that even if a wrongful tax-collector were to repent, he would have been forgiven. Then giving command regarding her, he prayed over her and she was buried. (Book #017, Hadith #4206)~Muslim

Khalid b Walid came forward with a stone which he flung at her head and there spurted blood on the face of Khalid and so he abused her.
Khalid B. Walid stoned a woman. Interesting, knowing that the Shia consider him a murderer and adulterer.

I don’t understand this concept of repentance yet punishment. You repent? yes, ok kill her.

O’ Man! you are sooooo right. I have yet to hear of anything happening to the criminals. Only the victims.

inJESUS;4498707:
Can flogging be used one someone who helped kill or torture someone else?
i know that an accomplice to murder would not be required to pay for the crime with his life in Islam, only the one who commited it and since flogging is considered a punishment for various deeds, it *could *be, but am not sure.

Yeah, and kidnapping in our country is a capital offense which means a possible death sentence. Get it? Death comes in many forms. Sometimes it comes like that instance in Africa. When it comes for you will you be ready? Don’t think you’re ready yet? Good. Go to Confession and let God have His peace with your poor soul. Stay that way and have a few holy hours for those you love. Don’t love anyone but God? How about the poor souls in Purgatory? Oh God…

Peace,

Gail
Death comes in many forms, but so doesn’t satan…

This whole thing is so sad. i can;t imagine what this girl went through, or what was on the mind of those who saw her being stoned to death. May God open people’s heart to His call for mercy.

I don’t understand the point of your replies- it almost seems as though you’re not really addressing how the murder of this little girl is justified in the Quran…

(…)

regarding Quran , punishment is lashing for both men & women.
If the punishment for adultery is lashing, and rape victims are not punished, then please explain why the girl was stoned?

If she was a rape victim, then there should have been no punishment…

If she was an adulteress, then she should have been subjected to lashing…

…according to the article, the sentence was the result of the woman “begging” to be stoned to death…

Does the Quran allow for the guilty party to request a greater punishment than required by law?

Is it simply customary for people who have requested to be stoned to later beg for mercy and plead not to be stoned to death?
Anyway , it’s better for anyone to get punishment in this world & offer sincere repentance before death approaches. So that s/he can expect the mercy of God on the last day.
Sure, this is true- but has little relevance here, as the little girl who was stoned to death was a rape victim, and not guilty of a capital crime.

explain why the girl was stoned?
regarding hadith , punishment for adultery of a married person is stoning to death.
… woman “begging” to be stoned to death…
during the time of Prophet Muhammed (p) , a woman came to him & confessed of adultery & asked for stoning to death . She was pregnant ; so Prophet told him to come back later ; when the baby was born , she came back again .

Prophet told her to breast feed the baby & come back later. When the baby started taking food besides milk , then again the woman came back & asked to punished her. When the punishment took place & someone remarked some bad things about her , then Prophet said something like that : as she repented sincerely , God forgave her sin .

Some people think it’s better to get punishment in this world ; so that hopefully on the last day , they won’t stand in front of God as sinners.
… was a rape victim, and not guilty of a capital crime.
rape victim must not get any punishment . It’s unfortunate that in many cases criminal men manage to escape . But surely they will get due punishment on the last day.

OK…but this girl was raped.
She was not guilty of adultery.

So can you please tell me if you believe the muslims who carried out her “sentence” did anything wrong?
during the time of Prophet Muh…God forgave her sin .
Yes, I’ve read that, and I think it is horrific.

Maybe you should read what Jesus did in a very similar situation:
Gospel of John, 8:3-11
And the scribes and Pharisees bring unto him a woman taken in adultery: and they set her in the midst,
And said to him: Master, this woman was even now taken in adultery. Now Moses in the law commanded us to stone such a one. But what sayest thou?
And this they said tempting him, that they might accuse him. But Jesus bowing himself down, wrote with his finger on the ground. When therefore they continued asking him, he lifted up himself and said to them: He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
And again stooping down, he wrote on the ground. But they hearing this, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest.
And Jesus alone remained, and the woman standing in the midst.
Then Jesus lifting up himself, said to her: Woman, where are they that accused thee? Hath no man condemned thee? Who said: No man, Lord.
And Jesus said: Neither will I condemn thee. Go, and now sin no more.
I understand that Muslims recognize Jesus as a prophet.
Why do you think that Jesus and Muhammed would have such contradictory interpretations of God’s Law?
Some people think it’s better to get punishment in this world ; so that hopefully on the last day , they won’t stand in front of God as sinners.
Since you’ve stated that already, I must assume you find it a compelling point in regard to the murder of the little girl described in the article…

So what exactly is your point?

Are you saying that the people who killed this little girl by burying her up to her neck and then breaking her head open with stones were actually doing her a favor?

Were they just being good Muslims?
rape victim must not get any punishment.
This rape victim was stoned to death.
So she apparently did get a punishment.

Do you think that the Muslims who stoned her to death were wrong?

What does the Quran say should happen to someone who exacts an unjust punishment?
It’s unfortunate that in many cases criminal men manage to escape . But surely they will get due punishment on the last day.
What about the Muslims who murdered this little girl? Will they be punished on the last day, also?

Can you please say clearly whether you believe that the Muslims who murdered this little girl did anything wrong?

She was not guilty of adultery.
then who killed her committed a major sin . God reminded us in holy Quran that Killing an innocent means as if killing the whole mankind. Punishment is hell fire.
… muslims who carried out her “sentence” did anything wrong?
if she is innocent , yes.
Why do you think that Jesus and Muhammed would have such contradictory interpretations of God’s Law?
I hope , u don’t want to say that Jesus (p) allowed adultery & prostitution ? If we don’t punish the sinners , then it will encourage them & others to do more sins ; sins like having love child will be common in the society .

.Mohammedanism actually condones and encourages Muslims to lie to non-Muslims.
please post the Quranic verse , thanks .

please post the Quranic verse , thanks .
No problem…

Muslims are commanded to lie in two ways when dealing with non-believers: taqiyya, outright lying to unbelievers, or kitman, lying by omission.

Here are a number of passages from the Quran which are well known for for establishing the precedent for taqiyya and kitman.

Anyone unfamiliar with these passages should read them very carefully- notice the seeming contradictions from one verse to the next. This is not accidental- it allows for muslims to selectively emphasize the part of the passage that suits their purpose best.

Normally, when confronted with these passages, Muslims will emphasize only those parts which appear to forbid lies and prescribe punishments for lies, and completely ignore those parts of these passages which specifically command them to lie and promise forgiveness for lying.

Incidentally, responding only to those passages which suit their purpose is a form of kitman.

Sura (16:106):
016.106
YUSUFALI: Any one who, after accepting faith in Allah, utters Unbelief,- except under compulsion, his heart remaining firm in Faith - but such as open their breast to Unbelief, on them is Wrath from Allah, and theirs will be a dreadful Penalty.
PICKTHAL: Whoso disbelieveth in Allah after his belief - save him who is forced thereto and whose heart is still content with the Faith - but whoso findeth ease in disbelief: On them is wrath from Allah. Theirs will be an awful doom.
SHAKIR: He who disbelieves in Allah after his having believed, not he who is compelled while his heart is at rest on account of faith, but he who opens (his) breast to disbelief-- on these is the wrath of Allah, and they shall have a grievous chastisement.
Sura (3:28)
003.028
YUSUFALI: Let not the believers Take for friends or helpers Unbelievers rather than believers: if any do that, in nothing will there be help from Allah: except by way of precaution, that ye may Guard yourselves from them. But Allah cautions you (To remember) Himself; for the final goal is to Allah.
PICKTHAL: Let not the believers take disbelievers for their friends in preference to believers. Whoso doeth that hath no connection with Allah unless (it be) that ye but guard yourselves against them, taking (as it were) security. Allah biddeth you beware (only) of Himself. Unto Allah is the journeying.
SHAKIR: Let not the believers take the unbelievers for friends rather than believers; and whoever does this, he shall have nothing of (the guardianship of) Allah, but you should guard yourselves against them, guarding carefully; and Allah makes you cautious of (retribution from) Himself; and to Allah is the eventual coming.
Sura (40:28)
YUSUFALI: A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said: "Will ye slay a man because he says, ‘My Lord is Allah’?- when he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him is (the sin of) his lie: but, if he is telling the Truth, then will fall on you something of the (calamity) of which he warns you: Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies!
PICKTHAL: And a believing man of Pharaoh’s family, who hid his faith, said: Would ye kill a man because he saith: My Lord is Allah, and hath brought you clear proofs from your Lord? If he is lying, then his lie is upon him; and if he is truthful, then some of that wherewith he threateneth you will strike you. Lo! Allah guideth not one who is a prodigal, a liar.
SHAKIR: And a believing man of Firon’s people who hid his faith said: What! will you slay a man because he says: My Lord is Allah, and indeed he has brought to you clear arguments from your Lord? And if he be a liar, on him will be his lie, and if he be truthful, there will befall you some of that which he threatens you (with); surely Allah does not guide him who is extravagant, a liar:
Sura (2:225) -
Sura (66:2)
YUSUFALI: Allah has already ordained for you, (O men), the dissolution of your oaths (in some cases): and Allah is your Protector, and He is Full of Knowledge and Wisdom.
PICKTHAL: Allah hath made lawful for you (Muslims) absolution from your oaths (of such a kind), and Allah is your Protector. He is the Knower, the Wise.
SHAKIR: Allah indeed has sanctioned for you the expiation of your oaths and Allah is your Protector, and He is the Knowing the Wise.

Here are a number of passages from the Quran…
I did not see any order from God in these verses to support this accusation : Mohammedanism actually condones and encourages Muslims to lie to non-Muslims.
