Recreation of the 1492 Conclave that elected Cardinal Borgia as Pope Alexander VII taken from the TV series ‘The Borgias’ and the film ‘Los Borgia’. There has been considerable criticism of this Pontiff but this is an interesting video as it shows how an interesting reenactment of what a Medival Conclave was like.

Quite accurate judging by the costumes and location although Borgia’s response to his election ‘I am Pope! I am Pope! We are the vicars of Christ!’ is a bit exagerrated.

Historical accuracy is not always a consideration.

In fact, in the case of such as Da Vinci Code, accuracy and truth are the LAST considerations.
