Please prayer for a 19 year old teenager named Ashley who has colon cancer. About two months ago she noticed a lump in her abdomen only to go to the doctor and find out that indeed, it is cancer.

On monday (October 8th), she had surgery to try and get rid of the tumor/cancer cells. The doctors were unable to remove all the cancer and the tumor board will be reviewing what will be the next steps to take for Ashley and her treatment. They are giving her a 20 to 30% chance of survival as the cancer has metastasized and the pancreas is involved in some manner as well. The surgery was intense and the doctors scraped and removed as much as was humanly possible but simply could not get it all.

She’s currently staying at a hospital in Felmington, NJ. If you’d like to send her a card of encouragement, or anything of that sort, you can private message me and I’ll send you the mailing address.

Thank you guys very much. It’s in God’s hands now, and let His will be done.

My thoughts and prayers are with Ashley and her family at this difficult time. :crossrc:

I too have two family members currently experiencing colon cancer. I will be praying for her.

:signofcross:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Prayers for Ashley’s healing. She has a chance as I did when they told me a the same thing 4 years ago. She’s young and strong and can do this. May God help her, Tim

Praying for Ashley and her family.May GOD"S will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

I will be praying hard for Ashley. How very scary for her and her family - I can only imagine.

There are great strides being made in treating even advanced colon cancer. Here is a link to a wonderful forum and website that is frequented by younger colon cancer patients and SURVIVORS! Perhaps it might be of some help and comfort to Ashley:

God bless!

Thank you guys so much. My brother’s actually the same age as she is, and I could only imagine what it would be like learning that you have cancer at that young and early age.

She had to stay at the hospital for 5 days instead of the estimated 3. Now she’s at home on bedrest. She’s still weak, but hanging in there and regaining her strength. I’ve been waiting for updates as well.

She’s in the prayer intention book at Church. I’ve been praying for her, I hope that things get better. I’ve learned never to trust doctor’s estimations because every time they end up being wrong. I’m just praying that that’s the case with this one.

Thank you guys very much, it means a lot to me, Ashley, & her family!

I’m remembering Ashley and her family in my prayers and at Mass.

Please say the following prayer right now to release 1,000 souls from purgatory (Approval and Recommendation signed by M. Cardinal Pahiarca, Lisbon, Portugal March 4, 1936.): Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy Souls in Purgatory. Amen
