1917 vs 1983 Code of Canon Law

Does anyone know if the 1917 CCL specified a minimum age for godparents? I ask simply because my godfather and godmother were 10 & 12 respectively when I was baptized in 1953.
 
most likely they had already been confirmed, it depends on where they were living when they were baptized, also if they were your brother and sister, that is on case where an exception to the age can be made (now, I don’t know about 1917). In any case even if there was some problem with the choice of godparent it has no effect on the validity of your baptism

They were my cousins and I’m sure they’d been confirmed since once you’d made your first Communion you were confirmed whenever the bishop next came to the village – in those days we usually celebrated Confirmation every two years.

I’m not worried about validity, I’m just curious to know if a major change came about in 1983. Since Canon Law still envisions Confirmation at the age of reason, I doubt that that was the reason to make 16 the canonical age to be a sponsor.
 
14 years for him/her to be a valid sponser, though younger ones could be allowed for “just cause”
 
St. Therese’s godmother was her sister. Not a bad company to be in.😃
