1925 Breviarium Romanun

Someone is willing to sell me a 1925 Breviarium Romanum, published in Germany. How similar is this to the 1962 Breviarium Romanum?
 
There is a big difference between the two breviaries. For one, the 1925 has nine Sunday readings versus the 3 readings in 1962. Also, the aniphons at the begining of each psalm is not recited completely, that only happens at teh end of the psalm after the Glora Patri. Also, the Calendar will not be updated to 1962. You will also have to figure out what it means to have a feast of the double of the 1st class or a double of the 2nd class. Then there are all the commemorations that are made of the following day as well as for other saints. Yes, big diffeence. Blessed John XXIII in revising the rubrics of the breviary in 1961 wanted to simplify the act of praying the Office. I only wish they had kept the nine office readings for the Sundays.

Go to FSSP.com and order the new breviarium romanum that they had just published. They also sell the english rubrics on how to pray the office.

The breviary used by the FSSP, as well as the SSPX, is the 1962 Breviarium Romanum. The Sundays of the Year, except for First class solemnities, have only the three readings. In actual fact, the 1962 second reading is made up of the second and third readings of the earlier versions, and the 1962 third reading is the seventh reading, which is the Gospel snippet and first part of the commentary from one of the Fathers of the Church.
