1950's Marian Edition Family Bible

I recently picked up two very old Marian Edition Bibles from my Grandparents home. The outer covers and binding are in poor condition, but the inside pages are in very good condition. I’m thinking of having them restored as they are very special to me.

My question however, is what type of translation are these bibles. The closest description I could find referred to them as the Confraternity bible, but I’m not familiar with this translation. The oldest of the books is dated 1953 I believe and the other is 1968. They appear to very similar, but with different illustrations in certain sections. The oldest has a page that refers to it as the Family Rosary edition.

Is anyone familiar with these particular bibles or the translation?

I am not familiar with which translation this could be but I would like to offer some advice on the rebinding of the books. If you can, have them rebind them as close to original as possible. It may cost a little more but you will like the results much better then if they do a simple rebind job.

I restored a bible from 1951 at a cost of $111.00 three years ago.

New Testament and psalms in the Confraternity

The restorer called it a Family Bible, very popular at that time.
I treasure this Bible.
