1962 Roman Missal online?

Hi,

Please forgive my ignorance but I have found this missal online that I can download to my ereader, however I am not sure what year this missal is from and whether this can be used in a tridentine Mass. If someone more knowledgeable than me can take a quick look at this Missal and let me know your thoughts on the acceptability of it I would greatly appreciate it.

For instance on page 9 it says “A list of Prinicple changes made by the decree of October 28, 1913.” Does this mean that this missal was updated in 1913 and were there subsequent updates later on?

That is not the approved 1962 Missal for use in the Mass in the Extraordinary Form.
 
On page 7 it says 1913, but on page 8 it mentions Papal decrees of 1914. You could use it. You don’t have to use a 1962, I use a 1945 most of the time, but I’ve also used a vintage Blessed Be God many times with a 1925 imprimatur. They both work fine. With the digital version it would a pain to switch back and forth between the the proper of the day digitally. I suppose you can bookmark it and switch between, but you still have to look through your list of bookmarks before switching. I’m sure you know that though. Maybe your parish already prints out the readings? Mine does, but I just use my hand missal.

Well, I am just starting to get more into the tridentine Mass but am not at the point yet of wanting to spend upto $90 on a Missal I am not sure that I will use.

I haven’t opened up on my nook yet to see how easy it will be to use so that remains an issue, but I really wanted to know if this would be an acceptable missal for the Mass in the first place. It sounds like that it will be acceptable.

You can buy a reprint of the prayer book Blessed Be God for about 30 dollars and it has many useful prayers for various occasions along with the mass for Sundays and holy days It will serve you well in and out of mass.

Excellent point Cider, I actually have Blessed Be God and reference it frequently.
 
FYI, I got an email from Angelus Press this AM, their Missal is 20% off until Tue, so it’ll be $50.
