It’s a cute movie. When i was a little girl I loved hayley mills in pollyanna, parent trap, in search of the castaways. She was older in this movie but it was cute. I saw it not too long ago and there were eome parts I had forgotten.

My sis gave me this on dvd for Christmas one year. I remember when we went to see it at the theater back in the 60s. Such a cute movie. The Church used to be treated with respect in movies…it’s sure different now.

I was 13 when this movie came out, and I loved it then and I love it now! TCM (Turner Classic Movies) shows it a few times a year and if I’m not available to watch it live, I DVR it. It is a very sweet movie that even my 29 year old loved. She is fascinated by the fashions!! The nuns are portrayed as real human beings with close friendships and lives prior to becoming sisters. I recommend it without reservation.👍

We watched this with our daughters a while back and really enjoyed it. The sequel wasn’t as good but was still okay for a family movie.

A rather silly movie but Rosalind Russell was great.
It said a lot about our society at the time just like the beach movies like gidget and beach blanket bingo. Wasn’t hayley’s character from a broken home? At that time divorces were becoming common.
I even remember a comedy called divorce american style. Not sure if dick van **** was in it.
Anyhow I enjoyed the movie as a young teen and still do!

For some reason I am trying to type van **** and 4 stars are appearing.

yes, I think her parents were dead and she was under the care of an uncle who was a bit of a playboy or womanizer. The Mother superior was concerned about the bad influences she had in her home life.
