Hello Everybody.

Just got the bad news that a dear friend and an outdoors mentor has 2 days to 2 weeks to live. Please say a few prayers for Gene.

Me and Gene.

God Bless.

Fr. Joe

Praying that Gene will have a pain-free, happy death and will be in the company of the Saints.:gopray:

Thanks for the prayers everybody. Gene is a real saint! He sacrificed a great deal in his life to take care of his aging mother who lived to be a 106! I just had her funeral last October. I didn’t think I’d have Gene’s for quite some time yet.

Fr. Joe

I will pray for your friend Gene tonight in my evening prayers.:gopray2:

Fr. Joe, please pray for my uncle (he is 49 years old and the picture of perfect health, exercises daily and eats very healthy. He has 10 children and 2 grandchildren and lives in St. Louis) who had a severe stroke today. There is a blood clot in the right side of his brain and it isn’t going away w/ meds. He is in the ICU right now.
Thanks.

God of power and mercy, you have made death itself the gateway to eternal life. Look with love on our dying brother, Gene, and make him one with Your Son in His suffering and death, that, sealed with the blood of Christ, he may come before you free from sin. Amen.

For the sake of His Sorrowful Passion,
Have mercy on us and on the whole world.

God love him!! What a terrific person, that is very special indeed…
He is in my prayers!!:byzsoc: :gopray2: :crossrc:

You know, Father, that photo speaks volumes. Assuming Gene is the guy on the right (and it just about has to be if his mother lived to 106 and died recently) he seems to be a good man. An infectious smile. Comfortable with his life; with his priest; a man who took huge joy in the simple things of this earth, a pipe, a wild turkey; a man who unashamedly wore the indicia of his station in life on his shirt. I have a feeling you’re going to be asking heavenly favors of Gene, perhaps all your life.

He’s in my prayers. I expect he will soon be a spiritual mentor of a hunter of souls.

Wow … Gene looks like the type of guy I’d get along with right away! He surely loves life and God’s creation by the looks of it. 🙂 … (My other name is CountryDreaming and I tend to take my vacations at working farm bed-and-breakfast inns at the end of a dirt road in the middle of nowhere, the better for horseback riding and taking landscape / nature photos.)

Praying for Gene …

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Praying for Gene for strength to the end and a hoping heart. May he bless everyone he touches with his smile and be of loving heart to the last day or minute. I pray that his mother awaits him and welcomes him home. I pray he is not in any pain however long need be for peace and blessings to all he prays with and for.
Let us pray to the Lord
Lord hear our prayer, Amen
