Hi Everyone,
Ten years ago, I had a small ceremony in a Catholic church to a non baptized person (a Jew - we got the required dispensation and I am aware that this marriage is not a sacrament). One week after we got married in the church we travelled across the country and had a Jewish ceremony for her side of the family. I later found out the ceremony was mostly symbolic and not binding, but we did exchange vowels in front of people. I recently read that this raises concerns for a sacramental marriage in the church. Does this act also raise concerns for a non sacramental marriage in the church? Does it make it invalid or a sin??
Thank you for any (name removed by moderator)ut
