2 Guardian Angels after Consecration?

I was told that if you make a consecration to Jesus through Mary, you are assigned a second guardian angel. I haven’t found anything to verify this claim and I was wondering if anyone has heard of this or even knows if where this idea orginated from.

Hmmm. Now that’s one I hadn’t heard. Interesting thought. Not sure we need more than one, since they are really good. At least mine is pretty outstanding.

Of course, there is that bumper sticker: “Never drive faster than your Guardian Angel can fly”.

I know someone who said some sort of novena or something that supposedly promised “an extra guardian from each choir of angels” or something. It sounded very improbable, to pull angels from whatever their function is, and re-designate them as a guardian for an individual, if that makes sense?

Looking into it further, I was able to trace one version to the Jesus King of All Nations devotion, which I don’t know much about in terms of whether it’s approved/not approved/etc.

On a related note, there’s the Chaplet of St. Michael, where one of the promises is an escort of nine angels from each of the choirs when approaching Communion. Supposedly this one dates back to 1751.
 
They say that a bishop and even a cardinal has more than 1 guardian angel.
 
Saints have theorized that we have many guardian angles in our lives for many different purposes. For instance, there are angles who’s purpose it is to guide us in the single life and those who guide us as married people. There are guardian angels whose duty it is to protect us as we travel, or in certain hobbies. Many angels guard and protect us through many states in life.

However, it is very clear that we at least have one. The only person guaranteed to have two guardian angels surrounding them is a pregnant woman.
 
I never thought about a pregnant woman having two guardian angels nearby (or more!). That’s a lovely picture.
 
There are many lovely and pious things written.
No one knows for sure.
I give my guardian angel lots of credit, I’m a hard case.
If you read up on the angelic choirs and their roles or “jobs” you get a clearer picture.

So true in what you say about this prayer being lovely and pious. I used to say this prayer daily. Will need to restart again.

I don’t know if you get a second guardian angel, but you certainly get the Blessed Virgin Mary in a more special way. And that, after all, is the point.
 
I never heard this one.
I have a large religious library and have purchased and read a number of Catholic books on the angels, and this was never said in any of them.
This is not a Catholic idea. Perhaps the person heard this in a movie?
