According Silantyev, the converts are predominantly Muslims by birth, while ‘those who really confess Islamic values and attend mosque on a regular basis rarely change their faith’.
It is good to hear that the conversions are simply assimilation of non-religious Muslims, rather than the result of missionary activity. The southern part of Russia has enough problems with ethnic/religious without a conversion campaign infuriating Muslim leaders.‘The assimilation of ethnic and religious minorities is an inevitable process in any society. In Russia it is accelerated due to extremist activities’, the Islamic researcher believes.
‘As even Muslim sources confirm, after each terrorist action, thousands and may be even dozens of thousands of ethnic Muslims adopt baptism’, Silantyev stated.
Yes ofcourse, i was asking Ahmad khan because the name Ahmad is more of a unique Muslim name, as opposed to the other names you gave examples to. Ahmed and Mohammed have very similar meanings and come from the same arabic root word ‘Hamd’ which means praise. And you will never find a christian or a jew named Muhammed or Ahmed, unlike the examples you gave. That is why i asked. Its not an important question anyways, and is off topic. I just found it strange someone who hates Islam and the Prophet Muhammed would still call himself an arabic name that is attributed to the Prophet Muhammed in the Quran.Well its free society and Diana is Muslim name and Fatima is Muslim name, and Mariam-,now Mariam, you might be shocked how many Muslim names are in Portugal,Brasil,Spain and other countries
In Brasil i met Brasilian called Ibrahim with huge cross,
I mean hey lol,i almost said sellam aleikum, but hey![]()
