There is a proposal in Australia to require priests by law to report what they were told in confession to reveal pedophiles, this video begins. However, if he does this, the priest will be automatically excommunicated, it goes on to explain. According to the law of the Church, it is absolutely forbidden for a priest to betray what he heard in confession in any manner or for any reason.
