Yes the Church needs to be visible.
Mt 5:14-16
14 "You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hid. 15 Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Visibility can have different meanings. Something can be “visible” because a number of people openly advocate for it and something can be visible because it is organized has buildings governance etc. Primarily the Church is visible because those who belong to God advocate for the Church. Related to this is the visible, organization that grows out of that advocacy.
Matthew 18:17, “And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to you as the heathen and publican.” You can’t tell something to a church if you can’t see it.
