2 tropical storms a potential double threat to US Gulf Coast

2020, please go away.

Not only is it possible for the first time in 87 years to have two hurricanes hit the United States withing a day, this time, they are projected to hit the same spot in Louisiana. I know that Laura still has a lot of unknowns, but this is still surreal. The latest projection for Marco took a huge bounce from Texas to Louisiana, more than I have ever seen in the span of one advisory period.

Nice. Marco Polo might might be the closest back to back landfall ever, much less withing 48 hours of each other. I am concerned if Laura build to dangerous strength late, there will not be time to get out between the two. Stay safe.

So a guy walks into a bar and orders two hurricanes and a Corona. The bar tender says, 'That’ll be $20.20.

I saw were Laura got projected further west. I am not in the cone of both. Making plans tonight on who gets to work through which one.

We could pray that the asteroid strikes at the heart of the far left/far right paradigm and the hurricanes swing west and douse the Californian wild fires.

Tomorrow was supposed to be the first day of class, in person, after starting last week. I woke up to find that all classes are canceled the rest of the week. ARGH!
 
While Marco has dissipated, Laura now will likely make landfall as a major hurricane, targeting the mouth of the Sabine. Things look grim for the border of Texas and Louisiana along the coast.
