Mormonism is the only form of true Christianity. Your version of Christianity is apostate. It is a different and unrelated religion to the true Christianity. It is not the Christianity that Jesus established. It uses Christian sounding terms to make it look like true Christianity; but in reality it is false and dead religion, and the opposite of true Chritianity.

Easy words. My religion conforms with the Christian Creed the very Symbol of Faith agreed upon by the entire Church.

My religion conforms with the Scriptures

My religion conforms with the entirety of the Christian Tradition from it’s founding.

My religion is Apostolic, each Bishop can directly trace his ordination and those who came before him to a specific Apostle.

My religion has guarded and protected the original deposit of faith from the day of Pentecost.

Your religion is similar to several early heresies, has no connection to the historical Church, does not conform with the scriptures or Symbol of Faith and merely reflects the pop culture of the
19th century. Its theology and Christology are anathema to Christianity, have no relation to it and cant be called “Christian” in any sense of the term.

But what I have said is absolutely True. You can zing one liners all you want but Mormonism is unrelated to Christianity. The propaganda seems to be that you “Resemble Christians”. You call your house of worship a “Church”, you adhere to a wholesome moral code and are clean cut folks, etc.

But you dont believe in Christianity in anything remotely resembling the Faith that has been handed down through the ages. You promote the theology of a “Separate God” and a Masonic type promotion system to “Godhood” for yourselves…Just to mention two outrageous deviations

I am real sorry, but you have a new religion hewn out of several philosophies the least of which is Christianity.

It’s free country and you can call a sheep a dog if it turns you on. But the troublesome thing is that you actively attempt to separate Christians from Christianity with aggressive prostelization methods, and cover up the deed by poseing as if you are part of Christianity.

That is why good people will oppose you and continue to try to expose your idea’s as being unrelated to Christianity. Sorry if that upsets you.

Bad people will also oppose and good people are often easily converted in times of trial in their lives. In most cases, those who convert to Mormonism do so during hardship. I have worked with the missionaries many times, and the majority of converts I have seen were single mothers with a plethora of problems, one of which is distance from any religion. Those who are seeking solutions in their lives will often grab hold of the first thing coming their way, offering an attractive change to those who are in the very pit of despair.

It is also true, however, that Mormonism does bring about many great changes in the lives of these struggling converts. They now at least have a more religious view, have a place where their children can be loved and accepted and taken care of, a place where they can overcome addictions and so forth. In these things I find no fault in Mormonism.

The same is can be true of the local Hindu Temple, the Moslem Mosque, the Buddhist Zendo, a nice local community center and Gold’s Gym if they have decent day care while you work out.

People find community many different places. The fault of Mormonism is that it attempts to seperate Christians from Christianity. Part of how they do that is by posing as Christians themselves. That is the topic of discussion here. Are they Christians and is it wise for Christians to leave the Church and become Mormon. I say no on all counts and the more discussion there is on these points the less likely someone is to make that error and perhaps forfeit their eternal soul, day care and other social considerations not withstanding.

Your style of debate appears to be nothing more than just a slinging match to see who can throw more diatribes at the other. It has no substance to it at all. That is easy to match:

Your religion is apostate. It apostatized centuries ago when the Apostles died. The “Creeds” and the “Symbols of Faith” were formulated by an apostate religion with no authority from God. And they certainly were not “agreed upon by the entire church”.

It does not.

Your religion conforms to an apostate Christian Tradition which is false and not true Christianity at all.

It is not. The line of authority was broken when the Apostles died. Your bishops have not a particle of Apostolic authority behind them whatsoever.
Your religion went into apostasy, and corrupted the “original deposit of faith” from the day of Pentecost.<
LOL…that is just name calling

How? When? Which points of faith did the early Church teach that were corrupt? Make a list and we can discuss it point by point and see if that is really true. Talk is cheap
The LDS Church is a restoration of the original Church of Christ by revelation in the latter days, and is the only true Christian Church in the world today.<<
Why is that?

Thanks
.

Mormons are not Christians, they are henotheists which is not the same thing as monotheists. The basic tenets of Christianity were established centuries ago and the beliefs of the mormons do not fit. You do not believe in one God–you believe that you yourselves can become gods of your own planet. Ironically this is one of the first temptations of Satan to Eve–you shall become as gods. I find it particularily deceptive when mormons redefine words to suit their purposes. They say they are Christian and have redefined what Christian is, they say Jesus is the begotten Son of the Father–they redefined what begotten means. They say they believe in the Trinity, but they have redefined what that means too.

The bible itself says that Peter’s net (church) is not in schism (torn). See John 21:11. It also says that it is Peter who presents the net (church) to Jesus. Incidentally, the word used for “torn” translates from greek to the word “schizo” which is the root of the word “schism”. Peter’s Church is not in schism.

But what I have said is absolutely True.
What you have said is absolutely untrue.
You can zing one liners all you want but Mormonism is unrelated to Christianity.
You have been “zinging one-liners” at Mormonism ever since you came here. Your posts lack any substance whatsoever. The answer to a one-liner is another one-liner. The above “one-liner” is a case in point. Answer: Mormonism is the only true form of Christianity; and your version of Christianity is apostate.
The propaganda seems to be that you “Resemble Christians”. . . .
The propaganda is that we are The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—the only true and living Church of Christ in the world today.
But you dont believe in Christianity . . .
Excuse me—we don’t believe in your apostate version of Christianity.
I am real sorry, but you have a new religion hewn out of several philosophies the least of which is Christianity.
You ought to be sorry. We have a new religion that has been Restored from heaven by revelation and the ministration of angels—after the original one had long since apostatized.
It’s free country and you can call a sheep a dog if it turns you on.
I was going to say the same thing to you. You can call your apostate Christianity “Christianity” all you want; but it won’t make it so.
But the troublesome thing is that you actively attempt to separate Christians from Christianity with aggressive prostelization methods, and cover up the deed by poseing as if you are part of Christianity.
We do no such thing. We proselytize people in order to bring them out of apostate Christianity into true Christianity.
That is why good people will oppose you and continue to try to expose your idea’s as being unrelated to Christianity.
Only wicked people oppose us. The true church of God as always been opposed by the wicked in every age of the world. This one is no different. Everyone who rejects it will be damned.
Sorry if that upsets you.
Actually, it doesn’t. I think it is good fun debating religion with people who oppose us.

So who is it now who restored the true teachings of the church? Smith or Muhammad?

I was going to say the same thing to you. You can call your apostate Christianity “Christianity” all you want; but it won’t make it so.
Try bringing that up with Gordon B. Hinckley sometime. I’m quite certain he would strongly disagree with you on that point zerinus.

Gordon B. Hinckley is not debating with this guy. (He wouldn’t debate with this guy!) You tailor your answers to the character you are dealing with.

Gordon B. Hinckley probably doesn’t get into many debates at all. Nonetheless, if he did so, I’m sure his answers would be the same for every “character.”

I am not in the business of “mind-reading” Gordon B. Hinckley. I am the one who is debating on this board at the moment, not him. Whether this guy likes it or not, I am the one whom he has to deal with—and I tailor my replies according to the character I am dealing with.

When will you begin then. All you do is sling one liner and agit propt.

Prayer Warrior just posted a very cogent analysis of just a few of your idea’s that sharply diverge from Christianity. The biggest one I also mentioned earlier, that your religion tries to cut the same deal as Satin’s, join up and be a God of your own World. How can you reasonably tie that theology to Christianity?

He also pointed out another problem, that the very words Mormons use are manipulative. Each key Christian term reworked and redefined so as to keep the appearance of Christianity without actual faith in Christianity.

The Mormon doctrine I just mentioned above is yet another good example of that.
Christians (Especially us in the Eastern Church) use the term “Theosis” . It means the process of becoming like God ( or God-Like or Christ-Like) through his grace. We become by grace what God is by his nature.

The Mormon version is, ascend through the levels of the Mormon Church via Masonic like rituals and eventually you will be a seperate God, ruling over your own planet. Jesus is the example you try to use of someone who began as a Man and followed this recipe and was awarded his own little universe to rule over ( This one).

So please explain.

Thank you

zerinus;2841608]Wow! That was news to me!
glad i helped.
Question irrelevant.
that was basically my first question to which you responded with an irrelevant question.
So who should we believe Smith or Ibn Abdallah when both claimed the same but are completely different expect with polygamy it seems?
