A beautiful resource and lovely music, but just to be clear most of the hymns are not Catholic in origin: they have come from many different Christian traditions (mainly Anglican) but I am glad they we have adopted them as our own.🙂

It doesn’t look like it but try learning to read basic notation. It isn’t hard and it can open up an entire world of music. 🙂
I can note read, but it sounds better to strum chords on guitar and sing, then to play single notes. 🙂
I should have specified guitar!

If you can read notes, then you will be able to read the chords in the SATB setting.🙂

Wish I could replicate the format of those hymns with Finale. Very nice.

Thank you so much for giving us this link. This hymnal is beautiful, and I love the selection of hymns. I see that they are going to publish a special edition for organist/cantors which has a separate page for each verse. I am not an organist/cantor but I love to play and sing hymns, and this will end the frustration of getting the verses confused. I also and very impressed with the Mass settings in English that they have written. I am going to purchase them, too. I just hope that I can convince our church musicians to try them.

I suppose you are right. Lord, help my laziness… 🙂
Ha, I hear you. I play chords quite often on the organ because I’m a bit lazy when it comes to learning new music. I can play it as written though if I actually practice it 😃
