Here’s the latest inductees for the Hall of Fame. I’m really pulling for Peter Gabriel. There are 15 in all.

Well, it’s pretty obvious which band will be inducted this year (unless all the crazy hair-metal elitists rig the voting system). 😃
 
You can actually vote for up to 5.
And in before all the anti-rap comments start for LL and NWA: The reason they’re letting in rappers is because it’s actually good for business. Like it or not, rap is very popular.

Eddie Trunk, co-host of That Metal Show, has been quite critical of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since acts specializing in hard rock and heavy metal seem to be shunned way too often.
 
All I can say is that Yes better get in! Peter Gabriel is also awesome, so I will be happy if he’s in as well.

I’ll be a bit off topic, but I recently saw Paul Anka do a jazzy version of “Smell’s like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana. It might have been on Mark Shea’s blog. I’m not sure how I feel about it. :o

Why don’t they call it the “Music We Think Is Cool of Fame”? I don’t really follow it that much but it seems there are so many non-rockers included and so many class rockers left out it’s ridiculous.

I think Cat Stevens belongs but he’ll never make it because he’s now Yusuf Islam and has made some, ahem, questionable statements.

The big problem is they have to find people to induct every year. Demand outstrips supply.
