22nd of each month

Our parish has Eucharistic adoration on the 22nd of each month. I’ve never given the day chosen for this much thought until I visited another parish lists in their bulletin a day of prayer and fasting on the 22nd of every month. A quick search on the internet revealed a wide variety of devotions scheduled for the 22nd each month. Is there something special about the 22nd, or are there just so many churches doing so many things that you’re bound to have quite a few on any given day?
 
Just a guess.

Jan 22 was the date of the Roe v. Wade abortion decision. A few years ago there was a campaign encouraging people to ask for Masses to be said on the 22nd of each month for the protection of the unborn. This sounds like something along the same lines.
