My guess…the VP is the only one who knew and approved his (Palmer’s brother) getting through the checkpoint…so the VP sent his “thugs” out to ambush him.

Not sure why the VP is up to no good. My DH speculates this all to be what they WANT me to think…mmm…he could be right.

The scene where Jack is squared off with the chick who named Audrey is absolutely hysterical.

Jack: “Henderson gave you Audrey’s name to get me off his trail. … and it worked. I’m really …upset!” (speaking through his teeth by the time he chokes out the word “upset”)

Okay, I didn’t quite remember the quote, but it was precious.
Rewind your dvd’s for that scene— it was totally worth a few replays.

This is the only television I bother to watch…the writers do a good job with the rhythm and tension and dialogue…and yeah, Chloe’s glares are worth the hour spent!

OH MY! They really know how to get us going! Just when you think you know what’s happening they throw you a curve . Good show tonight:thumbsup: Now I can watch the Gators play UCLA;)

But I’ve got two things to say:
  1. Did Logan somehow actually not know about Walt Cummings?
    Because he really seemed genuinely shocked/upset with Walt’s betrayal, even when they were alone…which is why I never seriously suspected him.
  2. I think there’s still someone else in the upper government involved.
    Think about this: The Vice President finds out Wayne was there. THEN we find out Henderson knows Wayne was there. THEN the Vice President tells Logan that Wayne was there. Do you see what I mean? Something’s missing: the link that let Henderson know Wayne was there, before President Logan knew. It seems unlikely, but I’m still keeping an eye on Mike Novick.
 
I can’t wait for the First Lady to find out. WoW! Will there be feathers flying on that episode.
 
Somehow I suspected that Audrey was going to play into this.

The entire thing is a fascinating play on power struggles, loyalties, human weaknesses and bravery, conflciting interests.

Looks like the President is dumb like a fox. Hmmmm, was this entire plot specifically designed to get rid of Jack Bauer somehow? Revenge for ousting Henderson back when? Or is there something more than today about the President which he doesn’t want known?

What was the VP so suspicious of concerning Palmer having seen the President?

You know, if the gal who has the information had said that the president was the one behind it, I wouldn’t have believed her. It’s only what they let us see at the end which told me it must be so.

So questions… is Bielko of any importance anymore? Anymore conniving by Audrey? What kind of trouble is Aaron going to be in? Is his line still being monitored? How long till Martha finds out… and will she be able to do anything about it? What else do we need to know?

LOL, oh and should we have had any doubt that Jack would have just calmly come sauntering through the fire with Bielco on his shoulders?

I can’t wait either! :bounce: Once the First Lady & Aaron finds out, they will be instrumental in bringing the President down, IMO.
 
I was really suspicious of the first lady’s
assistant, at first… but when she revealed the
kidnapping of her daughter her behavior made
perfect sense.

I didn’t expect her daughter to live, or her, for that
matter, considering the ruthlessness of the folks
they are dealing with… :eek:

Heroic by Audry, signing that bogus report to
keep Chloe on the job… nice!! 👍

I thought Logan was just a spineless loser with
high aspirations… Now I think those looks of
his are GUILT!!! Maybe he really does have
a conscience!!! :confused:

Dang… I’ll have to wait another 174 hours until
the next episode… 😃

They still may not. And if it hadn’t been for Jack, I think that the sniper would have taken them both out.
 
I really thought that it was all the VP, I mean it seemed a little coincidental that after he gets the prez to approve a curfew the terrorists attack a gas plant!!
 
Logan as the bad guy and inside operative does not add up. Previous episodes don’t make sense. The more I think about it the more I am convinced Logan is just too dim witted and there is a twist yet to be revealed.

:hmmm: Could be your’e right…one thing I’ve learned since I started watching 24 is…just when you think you know…you don’t :eek: :eek:

Is it possible that the President has found out who the insider is and once again been convinced that he “must” follow along in that person’s gameplan for his own and the country’s best interests?
 
Just read where Keifer Sutherland signed a huge $$$ contract w/ Fox for 3 more years.
