$25 Million for Hannity

Would like to see CBS and NBC find a conservative host. It would give them some balance.

I could really care less what Rush earns. Rush has become an arrogant egotistical right wing version of Al Franken. I used to agree with his views but he has become so mean spirited that I don’t listen to anything he says anymore.
 
I could be wrong, but I believe I remember hearing that Rush just signed a contract for about $45 million…not to shabby huh?

Only Rush can be addicted to hillbilly heroin and NOT change his hardened heart toward people

As for Hannity…wow…talk about a guy who isnt worth that kind of money…guess pimping for the White House Pay$ off big time.

Anyone know what Dan Rather or Tom Brokaw earned? I’ll bet they have a cozy retirement package…And all they have to do is read what’s in front of them!

At least Rush and Hannity do some critical thinking and evaluating before they jabber…

Just because Hannity agrees with the current administration on alot of issues doesn’t mean he’s pimping for the White House. It just shows that the White House is in agreement with the issues our faith teaches. I guess you can say that Hannity is Faithful 2 Rome. God Bless 🙂

They earn what their employers believe they are worth.

From what others have posted, if they were in charge, they wouln’t pay that much. Well, that is your choice. As it is the choice of Hannity, Rush, et al employer’s to pay that amount.
 
So being faithful to the white house equates being faithful to rome…hmmm… so that must mean that was a dig at me… that somehow I am not faithful to rome…good to see demagougory is still flourishing here.

and ya better check again on what ol catholic boy hannity believes vs what the church teaches…and I think I can safely bet that if the Pope himself came out tomorrow and said from his own lips… in english so as not to say the translation was at fault… that he the pope is against the war, that Hannity…as well as a great many catholics here on this board will side with Bush over the Pope…

It ain’t the pope’s call. The Church define’s the conditions of a just war, but the responsibility falls squarely on the shoulders of the leader of the state.
 
I had several priests explain to me that even though the Pope is against the war in Iraqi, that is his personal feelings and not an article of faith, such as the Real Presence in the Eucharist. Now if you disagree with the Pope on that, then that is another issue

“Pimping for the White House” is not the reason he gets paid what he does. Ever hear of a thing called “supply and demand”? Ever hear of a “free market economy”? He gets what he does the same reason baseball players earn what they do…because they can.

Millions of people listen to Limbaugh & Hannity, and therefore attract advertisers. Isn’t it interesting that Liberal talk show hosts can’t be this successful…mainly because people don’t want to hear what they have to say. (Lets be honest, can you really keep an audience if your only message to them is “you don’t pay enough taxes” and “you are only successful, not through hard work, but because you won life’s lottery”???)

Being profitable.

Hannity and Limbaugh, make stations happy, and make advertizers happy. End o’ story.

Employers pay people what the market demands, and what hopefully will make them profitable.

The NY Mets, on the other hand, by signing a guy whose arm may fall off by mid-summer to a 4 year 50+ million dollar contract…DO NOT.

Faithful, maybe I was to mean spirited in my post directed to you. For that I’m sorry. But to bash on Hannity for what I assume you disagree with on that he is a consernative Republican I must come to his defense. He as well as the Church stand for the most important issue we face as a society today, that of Life. Yes, I know we are at war and our men and women are dying that is a sad reflection on us as human beings and I do want it to stop. But let’s get our priorities straight just over 1,000 have been killed due to this war but we kill several thousand each day in this country due to abortion. Both are wrong but I will stand side by side with those who call for the immeadiate end to abortion and Shawn Hannity is one of those.

The best episode of their show (actually I can’t really say that because I don’t watch it) was when Jon Stewart from the daily show ripped both Hannity and Combs to shreds. I’m sure it’s available online somewhere.

$25 million for a TV personality? What’s next? Baseball players making a million dollars??? And here I was shocked at how much the curbside check-in guys at the airport make. But I guess none of them have the requisite ego to talk about the news on national TV. Or none of them are perceived by ABC’s execs and advertisers as being sufficient draws to get you to watch their commercials and purchase at least $25 million more of their products.

If you don’t watch it, how would you know his position? I’ll take some support for Catholic positions over no support for Catholic positions (like the ones John Kerry has).

He seems to be a hack, but he does not work for both a network and the Republican party…much unlike James Carville or Paul Begala who worked for both CNN and John Kerry’s reelection

Also, your quote “I’m sure its available online somewhere” does not lend itself to credibility.

It would be easy for me to say “Bugs Bunny is the anti-Christ, I’m sure its available online somewhere”…lets see the links.
