This year, I am with the 3rd grade. We are now using the same curriculum as the parish school & it is so much deeper than the previous program. The teacher’s manual is written for the 4/5 day program, but the publisher also provides a parish lesson plan for the Sunday program.

Yes, that is a dense series to get through with just one day a week, so I was very happy when they introduced the parish lesson plans. They follow Msgr. Francis Kelly’s Ecclesial Method. 🙂

As the assistant, I do not have a copy of the teacher’s manual. I have the student textbook & workbook, and the parish lesson plans. I worked with this lead teacher last year with kindergarteners. She does most of the lesson. I try to bring a gathering activity, and I introduce the music before the closing prayer. As a reinforcement, I will be handing out little cards to collect on a binder ring with the proclamation & clip art from the lesson.
