Blessed Mother of the Son of God; Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity.
Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me you are my Mother.

beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succour me in my necessity.

A “novena” by definition is a minimum of 9 days. Also, does the prayer in this post have any Catholic sanction (imprimatur, imprimi potest)? Finally, the “must publish” requirement crosses the line into superstition.

If you want to share a beautiful prayer to Our Lady, why put conditions on it?

As someone who is new to the Catholic faith and grateful for being shown the way home after a long journey, my cup runneth over with joy as I have learned that it IS okay to love Our Mother. As far as what the definition of a novena is or why that is important; thanks to all who have commented. I am learning everyday, new prayers and how to pray specific prayers for specific intentions. Everyday, I feel closer to God, and to our Blessed Mother. My sincere gratitude to all who have welcomed and guided me along the way home, whether in CAF, or at my parish. May the peace and blessings of God be with us always.

As for this specific prayer intention; I am thankful for it whether it is a novena or a chaplet. I was unaware that asking for its republication would be superstitious, and I am sure that the OP did not intend for it to be so. Finally; I am sure that the OP is as grateful as I am that the family within CAF is supportive of one another in many ways including education and guidance regarding prayer intentions.

We are ALL so very blessed for the spiritual resource we have in one another via CAF. God bless!
