3 people in family - 2 have adhd - help/support for non-adhd family member

I’m the non-adhd person. I’m 46, wife is 44 and son is 12. It is a challenge to say the least dealing with two people in the same house that have adhd. My wife and son have very similar personalities and they clash with each other frequently. I’m constantly cleaning up after them, listening to them clash verbally, and everything else that comes with adhd. Son is on meds, but wife won’t take any right now. I’ve asked her to do it for me if she doesn’t want to do it for herself. Nope. Anyone else in a similar situation? Any advice?
 
You certainly have a lot to deal with. It’s one of those posts that make me feel overwhelmed and helpless because I can guess how hard that must be day after day.

Please look after yourself as much as you can.

The challenges are enough to create a saint, so if the Lord means it for that purpose,
please Lord give this good man all the graces that he needs to fulfill that aim.
Lord, please inspire Lampo’s wife and son to tke the medication, and to do whatever will ease their uncomfortable and discordant state and relationship.

Lord have mercy, and bless this family with peace and love.

I would look into the adult ADHD community online. This is a good place to start:



 
Or here’s a thought–go to a meeting together with the kid’s therapist and ask for suggestions.
