30 day Novena

Ive been reciting St. Faustina’s 9 day novenas for souls for some time now. However, with Lent approaching I would like to prepare for it with a 30 novena. I know that there are a couple for Mary - not sure which one would be appropriate, but I would prefer a novena that is more directed to the Holy Souls instead of one directed at gaining graces for myself.

Can you please advise me of one? If not for the Holy Souls directly, then one of the 30 days for Mary please?

You can say any novena for any intention - including the Holy Souls. It’s up to you to determine the intention for which you offer the prayers, regardless of their content.

I know of a 30-day prayer to St Joseph. He’s patron of what’s called a ‘happy’ death, so that might be a good one. There’s a similar 30-day prayer to Mary as well.

Or you could simply offer a 30-day novena of Divine Mercy chaplets (one each day) for your intention - it’s a most appropriate prayer for the Holy Souls.

Thank you both. last week I read about Susan Tassone and her work for the Holy Souls. Her book sure sounds interesting. Will give both a very serious thought. Im a religious here in Japan so I would have to get permission to buy first though.
