So I want to do the 33 Days Consecration Through Mary, as set forth by St. Louis Marie de Montfort. It requires you to schedule it so that the day after, the 34th day (the day of your total consecration) it falls on a Marian feast day. Well, I decided Sept. 8th, the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin, but I am LITERALLY just ONE day off. So, the 33rd day would fall on Sept. 8th, the feast day, instead of it being the 34th day. Is it okay to still start tonight and do it anyway? Or should I just wait until the next feast day? Would it be a sin or offence to go through with it now?

True, but everything I am reading, according to St. Louis de Montfort says that it has to be lined up with a particular Marian feast day. I just wanted to be absolutely sure this was ok, being only one day off.

It’s a private devotion. You incur no sin by doing it according to a slightly different schedule.

Ok. Good to know. Thank you for your (name removed by moderator)ut.

While I am not a Father, yes you can still pray for 9 days if they are not consecutive. Private devotions.

I have an app that reminds me and I go oh yeah and then get busy doing something else. Need to be more disciplined ! Wonder if there is a patron saint of spiritual discipline

Similar question: I started Day 1 last week and have been reflecting on it daily. I was thinking of doing this over 33 weeks instead of 33 days since I tend not to stick with things or get bored. Thought I’d ask since so many here seem so knowlegable and I’m newer to the faith.
