Has anyone here seen this book or thought of doing this consecration?

I was going to do it, but when I asked Our Lady about it last night when I was praying, I distinctly sensed that it wasn’t for me and that She didn’t want me to do it. It seemed strange to me that She wouldn’t want me to do it.

I see the book is due to be released the week of February 15th, but I received the Marian Helpers Bulletin in the mail yesterday and there was an article about beginning preparations for the consecration on March 1st in order to make the consecration on Divine Mercy Sunday.

I haven’t seen that one, but I did see the 33 Days to Morning Glory. Maybe you are just supposed to do a different one. I am really looking forward to doing the Morning Glory one. I am starting it on April 10th and my consecration day will be May 13th which is the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima. I wanted to wait till after Lent to do it.

I just looked it up and 33 Days to Merciful Love is the sequel to the Morning Glory one I mentioned above. I don’t know if that helps at all or not!

Yes, I know about the book but I am wondering if anyone else here is going to order it and make the consecration.

This is the Year of Divine Mercy, the consecration is essential to Divine Mercy, and it will be made on Divine Mercy Sunday. I was told that the Marian Center in Stockbridge is overwhelmed with callers ordering the book. 🙂

Oh. I don’t know. I do plan on doing the Morning Glory one, since I already have a copy. A lady at church gave it to me and told me it changed her life. I think consecration is amazing and definitely something we should all try to do, but if Mary is telling you not to do it then maybe you should wait. She has her reasons and we should not question them. I would continue to pray about it though. This way she can tell you when it is time for you to do it. Maybe there is something else she wants you to do first or maybe to much going on in your life.Or perhaps it is not Mary telling you not to do it, but the devil sneaking in. I do not know. Just continue to pray about it! I hope you find your answers!

Thank you, Kjnw! I don’t quite think I am good enough to make the consecration anyway, and Our Lady would know better than I that that is so.

I do not think it is that you are not good enough. If it is truly Mary saying no, then she probably has other plans for you. Do you already have any Marian devotions? Do you wear a miraculous medal or a scapular? Do you say a daily rosary? Have you completed the Five First Fridays devotion? There are so many things Our Mother has called us to do. Maybe she wants you to start with something smaller, easier to handle. Ask her what is is she wants you to do! Always remember that she loves us and wants us to grow closer to her son.

I honestly believe she will never turn us away, but I do believe she will point us in another direction if that is what will draw us closer to her son.

I’m a senior citizen and a lifelong Catholic, so I’ve been doing all that you have mentioned for a long time. 🙂

Can you tell whether it is her voice, your voice, or another? If so, how?

It can sometimes be extremely difficult to tell who is saying what. My best advice is to go to adoration with the intention of finding HER words. Do a Holy Hour for that specific reason. She will make her will know, just as Jesus does, if we truly seek it. Adoration is an amazing way to spend your time and though it is still easy to get distracted, for me it is a lot easier to stay focused than at home. Also, I would recommend at the beginning of your prayer to say the Prayer to St. Micheal the Archangel. Also if you wear a benedictine medal (there is one in the crucifix that I wear) there is a prayer that goes along with it, “Begone Satan! Tempt me not with your vanities! What you offer me is evil. Drink the poisoned cup yourself!” If you do not have one, see if you can find one at church to use while you are at adoration.

Here is a quote from St. Louis de Montfort, which is the person that wrote the book True Devotion to Mary (the book that the 33 days of Glory/Love are based off of):

“I clearly see that raging beasts shall come in fury to tear with their diabolical teeth this little writing… or at least to smother it in the darkness and silence of a coffer, that it may not appear.”

He also predicted that demons would come and hide his unpublished manuscript so no one would ever read it and it was actually lost for more than a century after he died.

So make sure you are aware that the devil DOES NOT want you to do this consecration. Consecration to Jesus through Mary is said to be a “short, easy, secure, and perfect” way to become a saint, so be prepared for his attacks.

Has anyone else here gotten this book and will be beginning to prepare for the consecration on March 1st?
