Just a question. If Paul didn’t know he was writting Scripture, then who decided it was Scripture?

It became recognized as scripture by the men of the Church. A precise time cannot be given. It was defined as part of the canon later, again by men of the Church.

The Apostles didn’t meet and sit around a ‘round’ table and say, let’s write scriptures.

I don’t want to change the subject, but I have a question for a member of the Methodist Church. Which creed do the Methodist recite? Is it the Nicene or Apostles Creed?

EXACTLY my point…

Several of the “rebukes” of Sola Scriptura were about what “SOME Protestants” think or say or do. My comments about Catholics was meant to convey EXACTLY what you are noting.

The rest of the “rebukes” weren’t about Sola Scriptura.

I suppose the next time someone makes a topic like this, they need to specify that the OP only wants to rebuke the (I’m just guessing here) Evangelical or Fundamentalist version of Sola Scriptura. The time I’ve spent on here has helped me realize that Lutherans and some other Protestant denominations don’t believe in the ‘simplified’ version of Sola Scriptura that Catholics are used to seeing get proclaimed.
