3rd JB?

I keep hearing that the French Dominicans have a 3rd edition of The Jerusalem Bible. I also have heard, there might be a 3rd edition coming in English. Does anyone have any info? I keep hitting a brick wall trying to find out who to ask.

I’d like to know as well. From what I have heard, the 3rd Edition is much better than he 2nd Edition.
 
I would like to know what changes would there be. I personally don’t like the use of the Divine Name in the Old Testament because it is Holy and for anyone to just pick up the Bible and read it just doesn’t seem right to include this Name. Anyway I hope if it is released in English it would have accompanying notes like the 1966 version. (Probably without the four source theory)

The New Jerusalem Bible comes in a version with notes just like the original Jersualem Bible. It may be hard to find it in that version though.

I have both hadbacks. The JB is dogeared from use from 1979 to about 2000. That’s when I bought the NJB. It would be interesting to see/have the 3rd. I like the 2nd better than the first, but both are great.
 
I like the translation of the Jerusalem Bible (except the Psalms - which lose all their rhythm, and “Highly favoured” in Luke for “Full of Grace”)

However I cannot stand the NOTES - which like those in the NAB, are written by raving theological liberals and followers of “higher criticism” theories - which they present as facts. The notes do not back up Catholic teaching, just the opposite. They tend to assume that the Bible was made up by later editors, who patched it together from various unlikely sources to make a good story. None of this is proven but it is presented as fact, much to the destruction of the faith of many
