I’ve tried deeply to have a better knowledge of tribulation, what it is and the birth and deaths from it. Job’s 42 chapters are the most disturbing outside of those of the apocalyptic prophets. It so happens perhaps that in the 42 months spoken of in necessity for the redemption of man and his rebirth.
I have spotted the use of ‘to and fro’ several times as not only applied to Satan’s description of where had had come from, but a definition given by God of one of his divine action; it is as follows. -“He breaks open a shaft away from people; in places forgotten by feet they hang far away from men; they swing to and fro.” When The Lord asks Satan where he came from, Satan replies “From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it.”
I’m disturbed that this braking open a shaft is a tribulation coming from our own past and things forgotten in our own minds in the days of infancy to stages of youth, youthful adulthood and its virtues and complacency with loss of virtues in older age. That all these things sit before Satan as the walls of our own hell, as infants and toddlers in particular. It seems our end is in our beginning?
*“Children will rise against their parents and put them to death.”
“In the mouth of babes but kept from wise and prudent men.”
“Blessed are the breasts which never gave suck.” *
