Doesn’t the 4th commandment say to observe the Sabbath, which is Saturday? Sunday is the Lord’s Day, but it isn’t the sabbath, so if we don’t obverse the Sabbath, isnt that against the 4th commandment?
Yes.Sorry 3rd commandment
So basically, Sunday is the new Sabbath?
Read Matthew Chapter 16 wherein JESUS formed, established and set the protocol for HIS church. “…what you hold bound on earth will be bound in heaven, and what you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven…”Is the Church allowed to do that? Simply ‘change’ the sabbath? If the Lord wanted Saturday to be the Sabbath, shouldn’t we be trying to make it that way?
No offenense intended.
From the Catechism:Yes.
This suggests that your yes needs some amplification and explanation.2175 Sunday is expressly distinguished from the sabbath which it follows chronologically every week; for Christians its ceremonial observance replaces that of the sabbath. In Christ’s Passover, Sunday fulfills the spiritual truth of the Jewish sabbath and announces man’s eternal rest in God. For worship under the Law prepared for the mystery of Christ, and what was done there prefigured some aspects of Christ:107
Those who lived according to the old order of things have come to a new hope, no longer keeping the sabbath, but the Lord’s Day, in which our life is blessed by him and by his death.108
2176 The celebration of Sunday observes the moral commandment inscribed by nature in the human heart to render to God an outward, visible, public, and regular worship "as a sign of his universal beneficence to all."109 Sunday worship fulfills the moral command of the Old Covenant, taking up its rhythm and spirit in the weekly celebration of the Creator and Redeemer of his people.

Mark 2:27-2827* And he said to them, “The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath; 28 so the Son of man is lord even of the sabbath.”
So, you are really Catholic, right? The 4th commandment? Really?Doesn’t the 4th commandment say to observe the Sabbath, which is Saturday? Sunday is the Lord’s Day, but it isn’t the sabbath, so if we don’t obverse the Sabbath, isnt that against the 4th commandment?
Please, give me a break. I got confused. I looked quickly on wikipedia and looked at the wrong column. I apologiseSo, you are really Catholic, right? The 4th commandment? Really?

Well of course, but I’d gone into some detail in the preceding post. Your citations from the catechism are, of course, spot on.From the Catechism:
