Sociopaths don’t see much wrong with murder either. They typically don’t feel the need to flaunt their ignorance on youtube.
Considering the extraordinarily high rate of abortion in this country you are calling a lot of women sociopaths. That does nothing to further the pro life position at all.

Nope. He didn’t say that. He said, “Sociopaths don’t see much wrong with murder either.” That means he was talking about two groups. According to you, one group doesn’t usually feel regret over what we consider to be murder. He was pointing out another (different) group of people that also don’t feel regret over murder.

Considering that most of us have been argung that post-abortion women do feel regret, the one saying they are like sociopaths is actually you. 🙂 (Although of course you’re not actually saying that, because you don’t believe abortion is murder. But certainly nobody else is saying it either.)

Thanks. You’d think I’d typed using Wing Dings font or something.

If I got pregnant right now I would have no issues making the same choice.
You know what’s hard to understand about people? It’s how otherwise decent human beings are capable of such horrific things. I worked with the nicest, sweetest older guy for years before learning that he had previously been convicted of trafficking child pornography. People who knew Susan Kennedy Smith (the woman who strapped her two small kids into her car and sent it to the bottom of a local pond because her love interest didn’t seem to like kids) say they could never have imagined that she was capable of something like that. Civil war era slave owners were often kind, generous and otherwise virtuous people. Sometimes sin sneaks in through deception (often self-imposed). Ignorance of sin removes some of the culpability for it, but in no way reduces the damage caused by it. History keeps trying to teach us this (and failing).

Your many posts suggest you are a decent, thoughtful human being and would make a fine neighbor. But this just confirms once again that people sure are hard to figure out. I just don’t get it sometimes. 😦

Sociopaths have no regard for others at all. This isn’t that. This is more like all those other examples of seemingly decent people with a fatal blind spot for one issue. For some it is perversions, some slavery, some bigotry (my own grandma!). And for some, the blind spot is the smallest and most defenseless of all. sigh. Pro-choicers convince themselves that since they are good people, their position just CAN’T be wrong. They ignore the long history of human self delusion and blindness.

BlueEyedLady -

True or False.

Abortion kills a living fetus.

A fetus will be a grown person one day.

The fetus is totally unconscious of what is going on; therefore, his/her life is in the hands of the mother.

You were once a fetus.

You could have been aborted.

If your mother aborted you, you would not be here on this forum right now.

Everyone has a right to live, especially harmless fetuses.

yup.

I also had an abortion, but this girl sounds heartless. I will also answer those questions. I was around two months pregnant. The abortion procedure I had done was Aspiration, I think. Physically, it was uncomfortable, but not really painful. Emotionally, it was painful. Yes, I regret it. I don’t know how she could say it was the most ethical and humane thing for all parties involved. How is killing someone ethical and humane? No, I wouldn’t have another abortion.

This thread has been dormant for a considerable period. With rare exceptions, reviving threads after a protracted period of inactivity is discouraged because:
Code:
the issues that spurred them are often no longer "hot" or current topics, explaining why thread activity ceased originally.
posters originally involved in the discussion are sometimes no longer active on the forum and, therefore, unavailable to reply to comments added to the thread.
Our experience suggests that, when a topic merits revival, it is best accomplished by initiating a new thread that draws on recent events and can be posted to contemporaneously. This eliminates the baggage of folks being frustrated by asking and not receiving responses to issues raised in early posts (because the new poster didn’t notice that the post he was responding to was made a long time ago).

Posters are very welcome to open a new thread on the subject or any other topic, as well as to actively participate in the myriad active threads in the fora.

Thank you to all those who have participated in this discussion. This thread is now closed.
