Despite 481 victims in the last 12 months, the 4th year of the Íntifadah’ was the least bloody since it started on September 29, 2000 after PM Sharon’s walk (then not yet premier) on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem fueled the revolt (intifadah). In the last year, Israeli security forces killed 425 Palestinians, about 35 a month; on the other hand, Palestinian militiamen caused the death of 56 Israelis or foreigners, with a monthly average of five victims.

According to an inquiry by ‘Haaretz’ from the start of the second Intifadah, whose 5th anniversary is Tomorrow, (the first was between 1987 and 1993) 1,033 Israelis were killed by Palestinians, while Israel killed 3,333 Palestinians. In the past four years there were 144 suicide attacks, according to defense sources, which caused 515 victims between the Israeli army, civilians, foreigners and Palestinians. In the last year, such episodes have dropped to six, causing 14 Israeli victims. In these last 12 months, 324 Palestinians were killed in Gaza.

Do you have any statistics on the casualties resulting from the actions of Hamas suicide bombers against Israelis? I think they are germain to this converation.

Well in the article posted it said there were- “144 suicide attacks, according to defense sources, which caused 515 victims between the Israeli army, civilians, foreigners and Palestinians.”
The attacks by Hamas would obviously be fewer than that. However I do not understand why you would wish to make that point. One suicide attack is too many.

Matt 25, what do you think your statistics indicate?

A few things to note:

If it were up to most Palestinians, their “kill-stats” of Israelis would be much much much higher.

If it were up to most Israelis, their “kill-stats” of Palestinians would be much lower.

The Palestinian terrorist-armies WANT to kill all the Israelis, but can’t. The Israelis COULD kill all the Palestinians, but don’t.

Also:

In these numbers, is there any consideration taken as to the status of those killed? That is to say, how many of the deaths of Palestinians were battlefield deaths, where the Palestinian was actively engaged in battle?

Are the dead suicide-bombers counted in the Palestinian stats?

Are assassinated Palestinian terrorist leaders counted in the stats?

All in all, what percentage of each total-deaths is innocent, non-combatant deaths?

"Most " Palestinians? “Some” Palestinians would be more accurate.
If it were up to most Israelis, their “kill-stats” of Palestinians would be much lower.
Again, when you say most, you should have some documentation; some sounds more accurate.

Yes.
The Israelis COULD kill all the Palestinians, but don’t.
No, they couldn’t. The moment the IDF began a campaign of genocide (which they would not - Israelis themselves would not tolerate it) the world community would stop the slaughter.

Exactly my point.

Sure. If by world community you mean the US.

There is no Palestinian Army, terrorist or otherwise. There is an Isreali Army, funded at $3 billion dollars a year by the USA.

There are Palestinian militant/terrorist groups.

Do you ever wonder why the people with the biggest army in the Middle East never use suicide bombs but those with no army, no state of their own and massive unemployment, poverty and despair do?

Excellent! I never condone terrorism but I can understand how years being treated like an animal could push someone to such a deep hatred and hopelessness that they might decide that this is the only way to get anything done - even if you just take a few of the enemy with you. This is the same type of thing that fueled the IRA. You can only push people so far. There is nothing more dangerous than a man who has nothing left to lose.

Perhaps you should read the entire post WWII history of this region before forming your opinion. The violence against Israel started almost immediately after its founding by the UN, long before the Jews had a chance to treat anybody like an animal.

That’s the post World War I Germans’ justification for accepting Nazi ideology. That is, so many Germans felt victimized by the terms of the Versailles Treaty and economic distress that they succumbed to the justifications and final solutions provided by the Nazi ideology that they in overwhelming numbers embraced.
