54 days Rosary Novena

Last time I prayed this 54 days rosary novena for around 2 weeks, but then unsuccessfully completed all 54 days. Now I started again on 1 Jan. I really wish I can complete it for 54 days.

Anyone can share about your experience on 54 days rosary novena? Did you pray for special intentions? Did you completed all 54 days and Did Mary or God answer your special prayers?

Would like to hear more about it. 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
 
Love love love this novena! The first time I did it, I prayed it for my sister. She was engaged to an abusive man who basically kept her from her entire family. On the super rare occasions that we would chat, I didn’t want to further alienate her by criticizing this person she seemed to love so much. I began this novena in July. She found out in November that he was cheating on her and she left him. Total miracle! I then said it when my husband had unfounded legal charges brought against him. I prayed that those charges would be dropped and the truth would come out. Charges were dropped!
I find this novena to be very powerful. I will add, I never was perfect in the way I said it. Sometimes I’d fall asleep saying a rosary, sometimes I’d forget altogether. I just did the absolute best I could and trusted that God understood. I say just do the best you can. 54 days is a long time, but SO worth it!
 
I’m glad I saw this, because I have to start this novena over myself. I did the first part, the “Petioning” part in October. I prayed for sciatica nerve healing for myself. Two days before that 27-day section ended, I received my complete healing! Then I foolishly and ungratefully prayed just a week of the “Thanksgiving” part and then I started missing days and then gave it up for good…my sciatica returned and I still have it 2 months later… I’ve confessed this and I feel like a real jerk over failing to thank Our Lady…I was still praying the rosary daily but failed to finish the novena. I have to start it again.

Thank you for posting this. I just want to say this time I will invoke the Holy Spirit every day to give me perseverance to finish it this time, maybe you can also try this. The only other suggestion I have for you is to plan to pray it at the same time daily. Good luck to you and God bless you.
 
I am on day 38 of this Novena, and I am saying it to restore my marriage, and for the salvation of my husband’s soul. It hasn’t always been easy, but it is absolutely worth it.
 
Thanks all for the reply. I have another question - Is that we can only pray for One intention for each 54 days novena? Or, should I start another 54 days novena after this for another intention? 😉 Thanks.

I had a list of intentions when I did mine. I wrote them at the top of the page I used to keep track of this novena, since you mention your petition(s) continually during the novena, it helps to remember them all. Our Lady can handle more than one request at a time. 🙂

I’m starting my 54-day novena today, in fact. I will pray for everyone’s intentions here, will you please pray for mine? Thank you.
 
I love the 54 Day Novena! I started January 1 with a Facebook 54 Day Novena group. They keep track each day, and it encourages everyone to keep going with daily reminders which is neat. I have finished the 54 Day Novena in the past and Mary did made miracles in my life. I was given the strength to leave a bad relationship and developed big love and devotion to Mary. Something I am eternally grateful for. It is hard, but is so worth it!
If there are days that you know you will be busy, while driving you can search it in youtube: 54 Day Novena and play it on your smart phone. That is what I do sometimes when I know Im super busy.

On 12th I was too sleepy that I fallen asleep when praying Rosary Novena (should be Glorious Mysteries on that day). Then on 13th I prayed (Glorious + Joyous Mysteries)…

Is that possible? So that I can continue the Novena… :o
But in the promises written, cannot miss even one day… 😊

Hi Shanishani,

The thing about this Novena is to ask for God’s mercy and love through our Beloved Mother, not to add to our worries.

So just do whatever your heart tells you to do.

If your problem is so urgent, then you might want to keep going. If you keep feeling guilty or worry about the day that you missed out, then just repeat it.

If you decided to keep going, then just say somewhere in your prayer, something like: Jesus, Mommy Mary, though my novena is not perfect, I still believe that Your Mercy surpass even this un-perfectness. And see it as an opportunity to exercise your faith and trust.

In anyway, JESUS’ love and mercy are always there to reach us out in due time. So just trust and have faith and do whatever you think is best for you. 👍

Starting on January 1st never worked for me. If you find it hard to commit to something as a New Year’s resolution, may I suggest you try doing something two-three weeks before Easter? I find it’s easier and you are more likely to succeed when you don’t decide to do things on a special occasion. YMMV. 🙂

As for answered prayers:
  • I had one answered even though I failed to finish the novena due to a very depressive time I went through.
  • The first one I ever completed two years ago I did not receive what I had asked, but I did receive something better the day I finished the novena, and again months later.
  • I had to pray for one intention several times before it was answered.
  • I had one answered the first week I started a novena.
  • There are two intentions I prayed for last year that I won’t know the outcomes until later this year.
  • There is one intention I have prayed for multiple times without receiving anything. 🤷
That’s been my experience. 🙂
 
From November, 2010 through about the middle of February, 2011 I was working as a contractor on a temporary job assignment. Thing is, I had been told right before Christmas that about a week after Christmas it was likely I would no longer be needed, since my project was due the first of the year, and then there was just minor clean-up work.

So on the first of the year, January 1, 2011, I began a 54-day Rosary Novena for employment. And guess what? One more Rosary, one more day of employment. One more Rosary, one more day of employment. Every day I said a Rosary, I was blessed with another day of work. … Finally on the 54th day, came the end of that job assignment, which I finished successfully and came away with a good reference.

Meanwhile, as my old job was ending, a new employer wanted to hire me for a part-time position. It seemed pretty risky at the time, but felt like the right direction to go based on the timing of the Novena prayers. The experience I gained there helped position me for the full-time job I now currently have.

So I would say, be open to God’s Will … and while you’re praying for your novena intention, you should add that you’re open to, and then actually BE open to, God’s Will if His answer is different from what you were expecting.

And also, it’s not all a picnic even when your prayers get answered. I should point out that I was really sick with possibly either bronchitis or walking pneumonia while I had the contract job and the temp agency had told me I was not allowed to take any sick time, so I had to work while really sick for weeks. As for the part-time job … well, let’s just say many things about it were rather unusual and the money wasn’t what I was used to … but I knew it was exactly where God … and Mary … wanted me to be. It was all just too coincidental, and I was very grateful. So prayers do get answered, but that won’t automatically mean things will be what you might expect.

I prayed my first one when I was studying for the bar exam. I timed it so that the last day would be the last day of the exam. All I can say is that I passed.

Now, several years later, my wife and I are praying another. This time for healing for our son and for employment for both of us.
 
Dear all, thanks all for the replies…

I am in my Day 20 of my 54 Days Rosary Novena. I am praying for the intention of finding a real partner (future spouse) who also loves God and others.

I met a guy in my local church a year ago but seldom talk, and met him again on Dec, becoming closer starting from Jan. We texting everyday, and care for each other. I have a feeling that he is the one God gives me.

We had a first date on last Sunday (2 days ago), I also felt that he treat me more than just normal friend. He told me many things and even talked about why he broke up with his ex-gf whom I also know (They broke up just a few months ago), and also asked mine. We chatted a lot and had fun that day. We took photos together.

But then on Monday (yesterday), he suddenly told me that he believe he did have feeling to me/ like me a little bit, but he is really not ready for any relationship. He said that he needs to find himself, find some sort of identity, and to believe himself first before he can start something else. He emphasize he is not ready for any relationship and cannot commit to something which might damage both of us long term if things not work out.

I was totally broke and hurt when he told me these. I even cried to Mary.

I am silly that I was asking Mary didn’t she promise she will answer prayer on 54 days rosary novena, and why this would happen. But, I told Mary that I still trust Her, and still keep on praying this 54 days Novena.

I know I need to accept all these if he insists that… I am just not sure if this is an excuse of rejecting me or what.

And I don’t know what should be my next step? just treat him as a very normal friend which sees very less, just let him go and not see again, or just keep caring for him and wait for him…?

Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Remember, God promised Abraham once, but it took Abraham a slight set back when God asked him to sacrifice his son, before God fulfilled His Promise

He said he need a time to grow right? So treat him like a normal friend, but tell him that you are still open for relationship in the future, but don’t be over-obsessed, otherwise he’ll feel pressured.

See it like this: Mom Mary probably just trying to show you that there is hope out there.It could be him, it could be someone better, we don’t know.

May be She is preparing someone better as we speak, or may be She is preparing that guy to be a better one for you with this time away.

It’s also something that you could discern, while you are praying for your petition. 🙂

hello, is there a forum talking about 54 days rosary novena out there? it seems I have lots of questions… thanks. :o
 
I have finished 53 days already, time flies! still have one more day tomorrow to complete the whole novena. I’m not sure if my prayer is answered but is not granted yet. The process is not easy. I learnt to transform my will to the will of God.

I will leave a message here after completed tomorrow. :o
