marks the fall of Constantinople and the transformation of the Hagia Sophia (Church of Holy Wisdom) into a mosque. May it one day hold Christian services again.

I read that after the conquest there was pillaging for 3 days and then after that the Church of Holy Wisdom was turned into a mosque and the city was converted into the Ottoman capitol.

Three days of pillaging and turning major churches into mosques was standard. Turning it into their new capital was unusual, but not unexpected in this case.
