😃 no worries my dear friend…!! šŸ˜‰

I never saw the ā€œfriday’s childā€ movie so I cannot comment…

But back to Star Trek with this Horta species… it was a vegetation, sprout like creature and the funny thing about is that the word ā€œhortaā€ means ā€œgreensā€ or some sort of ā€œgreens veggieā€ in Greek.

Gotta love Gene! šŸ‘
And all this time I thought the horta was a pizza creature!

Perhaps in Alabama dear Dave… just perhaps!!! 😃
LOL. Actually, I was just remembering the way somebody described that episode to me when I was a kid. It had a ā€œpizza-carpet monsterā€ in it. After seeing it, I didn’t care much for that description.

THE PAIN…THE PAINā€¦šŸ˜ƒ

😃 What…??? someone described it to you as a kid… šŸ˜‰

You mean you never saw the REAL episode until you got older… …??? 😃

I guess I just ā€œcarbon datedā€ myself… šŸ˜›

Best regards to you my dear Dave…

Haha more like I was a kid when we bought the tape. I was told, ā€œThis episode has a pizza-carpet monster in it!ā€ Nope…it has a horta in it. Terrible description haha. 😃

Oooh I hate to correct ya but it was a rock monster made of pure silicon, remember? McCoy had to set its wounds with cement beamed down from the Enterprise. He packed it with cement because it was rock. Silicon-based life instead of carbon-based. It only looked like a pepperoni pizza!

And if memory serves, it was Janos Prohaska who made the Horta and actually was in it manning the thing. He was the guy who did all the monster-making for the old ā€œOuter Limitsā€ show.

The Horta episode was ā€œDevil in the Darkā€

See? There you go. The devil in the dark! It’s the Beast! The Whore! All 666 of them!

Are you callin’ the Horta the whore of Babylon! Them be fightin’ words! Big Horta fan on deck here!

P.S. Giants shutout the Pirates tonight. šŸ™‚ Sanchez had 11 strikeouts, Lincecum had 10 the other night. Huff and Whiteside knocked that ball into the bay, man. We’re going up to SF mid-May to see the Giants take on the Astros…yee haw!

LOL no worries…though there are unavoidable implications surrounding the sound Hor and the ā€œdevilā€ in the title, by no means would I assail the troubled creature. It has suffered enough. 😃

And the Pirates are always a welcome sight on the schedule hahaha

Alright, then the Horta and I forgive you along with the Mugatu, the salt vampire, tribbles, the Gorn, Harry Mudd, and Romulans everywhere!

The Pirates aren’t a welcome sight for the Dodgers! LOL…They always beat up on L.A. for some weird reason? Makes me want to don an eye patch, anything to beat those smog-mongering bums! LOL:p

My boy is pitching at the game we’re going to see in May, against the 'stros…thank goodness! I just hope Timmy doesn’t get caught with any contraband before gametime! LOL

That dude is a beast at pitching.

Just don’t tell Van Impe!

But seriously…that’s gonna be a heckuva game to get to see. I love watching good pitching. It’s one of the last positions in sports where it’s ok to be different and have your own style. And Tim is an absolute phenom! I did not realize, however, that the Dodgers (the Episcopalians of Baseball?) struggled with the Pirates. I didn’t know that anybody did 😃

Jack Van Impe: ā€œSurely you know that Lincecum’s pitching ability was had through a pact with Lucifer, the Beast! Lincecum will bring an ERA of 0.666 by season’s end. Each Giants fan will have his picture stamped on his hand when he enters AT&T Park, showing their allegience to the Beast, T.L. The World Series trophy they’ll eventually win is a second golden calf much like the six headed dragon George Steinbrenner.ā€

Sports are weird when it comes to matchups. The Patriots, through all those years of dynasty and superbowls, unbeaten regular seasons, long winning streaks, they almost always lost to the lowly DOLPHINS!!??

The Giants always have issues with the Padres for some cookoo reason? I mean, shoot, last season the Padres were beyond disgraceful, it was awful. And yet they stuck it to the Giants PLENTY in the latter half of the season? I just didn’t understand it. The bane of the Army of Satan, uh, I mean the Dodgers, is usually SD also and the Pirates. We lost to the Pirates, as a matter of fact, last night, but shut 'em out tonight. Sanchez shut Long John Silver DOOOWN boyyyy šŸ˜›

LOL…Giants fans. My dad was a Giant fan (from back when they were in NY! He saw Mel Ott play!). I think as a means of self-punishment, he married a Dodgers fan…and had 5 children…all of whom are Yankee fans. The cosmos is truly a messed up place.

But we can all settle for the fact that whether the Dodgers are in NY or LA…they’re bums!

I just bought some stuff at the convenience store, and I was due $6.66 in change. The woman behind the counter was visibly shaken and turned pale when she rang it up. At first I thought, ā€œI’m not that scary-looking!ā€ Then I noticed the amount she owed me. She started to hand me an extra penny, but then changed it to a nickel ā€œjust to be sure we’re not too close to you-know-what! Be really careful on the way home, hon!ā€

I love the Bible Belt 😃

Bag of Cheetos $2.50.

Can of Coke $1

Pack of gum $1.49

Pepperoni stick $2

Getting extra change from the bible belt because your total is $6.66… Priceless

God bless

Once at a drug store the transaction number on my receipt was 666. The cashier (who was wearing a name tag that read ā€œBettyā€) noticed and starting looking very concerned as she exclaimed, ā€œOh, the devil will be coming for you.ā€ I responded, ā€œWell, when he does, I’m telling him that Betty gave me this receipt.ā€

Betty was NOT happy.

here is something interesting to try. take 666, multiply it by any number. then add up the numbers individually till you come up with one number. it will always be the number 9. for example 6 x 3 equals 18. then take 8 + 1 and you come up with 9. try it with any number. also if you take the number 9 and do the same thing, it will always come back to 9. it is a number that turns in upon itself. self pride. 666 is simply self pride taken to the extreme and making oneself out to be God. well its one theory i guess. i think ill just stick to what the Church has already taught. that this was nero. peace šŸ˜‰

I thought that superstition was a mortal sin?

Interesting thought but yes this is a property of the number 9 in the decimal counting system. Note that this doesn’t hold in binary or hexadecimal systems.
