June 7, 2010 (OAK LAWN, Ill.) (WLS) – James Reinhart is 68 years old. He has been a husband, a father and a grandfather. After his wife passed away, he found a new calling in life. He became a priest in south suburban Oak Lawn.

God bless him with many years as a priest!

This news item reminds me – Whatever happened to the movie that was to be made about that priest somewhere out West who similarly was a widower and a father of a huge family, and was ordained. It was going to be made by Notre Dame or EWTN or someone --As I recall, it was a great story. Does anyone else remember this?
 
Hurray for geezer priests! May he have a long, faithful life of service to the Church.

What a wonderful story. It just goes to show you that no matter what age you are, you are never too late to fulfill your heart’s calling.
