Every once in a while, when our Parish Council is discussing setting Mass times for holy days of obligation (we share a priest with 2 other parishes, so we have to co-ordinate), our pastor often comments that 7:00 PM is the “holy hour,” and thus the most appropriate time for an evening Mass.
Is there, in fact, any significance to the 7:00 PM time, or is it just a common time for evening Masses for the sake of convenience for most people?
